  1. Call me strange, but I've always really liked What 'bout my star? @Formo. For the Sheryl version, it's not her English pronunciation that I find problems with. It's the tone of her voice that sounds off. However, her voice sounds just fine to me in Welcome To My FanClub's Night!
  2. I, for one, am all four a new season of Red Dwarf. I hate to admit it, but I still have yet to watch series 8. I somehow missed it when it aired on my local PBS station years ago.
  3. The Linebarrel doesn't look any different from the anime version to me. At least not from what I can remember.
  4. You're off by a little bit there, Ginrai. Only You came out while Macross TV was only about half way into its run.
  5. The author obviously never played a Battletech simulator on the veteran difficulty.
  6. Long live manual transmission!!! I haven't owned an automatic in almost 20 years.
  7. Looks like I know what I'm adding to my SOL list!
  8. Except for Mikimoto's Eve illustrations, I don't recall much of the other color illustrations being in watercolor.
  9. The system looks pretty awesome, Dante! The cable management looks better than it does in my system!
  10. Some of the earlier versions look way cooler than the versions actually used in the show.
  11. I'm probably the most patient collector of Macross Chronicals since I usually wait until my friend makes one of his numerous trips to Japan. He isn't going back until around December, meaning that I won't see issue 6 until at least around Christmas.
  12. It's not just Poland, but most of Europe and anywhere else that isn't the United States or Japan that manual transmissions are the norm. In the US, or at least in my area, it's getting harder and harder to find cars with manual transmissions. When I bought my current car, it took about 2 months to find a manual Sentra. In the end, I wound up buying an SE-R Spec-V.
  13. Those models look pretty terrible to me.
  14. Yep, ruski, those are two of the enemy robots from the Nadesico movie.
  15. Okay, I got bored enough to list where the characters of Macross Frontier ranked in popularity against other anime characters according to Newtype's rankings. The June issue is where Sheryl and Ranka first appear in the list. No male characters appear yet. Other than Macross Frontier characters, I'm only going to list the top 2 characters in each of the listings. June 08 Female charcters: 1. C.C - Code Geass R2 2. Kozuki Kallen - Code Geass R2 8. Sheryl 10. Ranka July finally sees Alto in the ranking. July 08 Female characters: 1. C.C - Code Geass R2 2. Kozuki Kallen - Code Geass R2 3. Sheryl 4. Ranka July 08 Male characters 1. Lelouch Lamperouge - Code Geass R2 2. Tieria Erde - Gundam 00 4. Alto August 08 Female characters 1. C.C. - Code Geass R2 2. Suzumiya Haruhi - The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya 4. Sheryl 7. 16. I tried my hand on the demo, but sadly failed the mission, although I don't know what I did wrong and thought that I was winning. I guess there was some mission parameter that I failed to accomplish.
  17. I think you're a little off there, Radd. I don't think that there are any 18 year-olds piloting any jet fighters in today's US armed forces.
  18. How far back do you want to go, d3v? I have every issue of Newtype up to October of this year.
  19. It would have to Rosamia unless wolfx has Four's hair color wrong. Four's hair was teal and Haman's was magenta.
  20. The Vajra weren't created by the Protoculture. The final episode reveals that the Protoculture were in such awe of the Vajra that they decided to actually model quite a bit of their technologies from the Vajra. To quote Grace, "All of space is in our grasp with the power that even the Protoculture feared, adored, defied, to the extent of imitating its form. The super-dimensional life form, Vajra!".
  21. That illustration has a very Buichi Terasawa feel to it.
  22. I definitely want to see your new system, Dante!
  23. I can't wait until I can get my hands on one! I'm thinking that a trip to NYC's Chinatown should provide me a means of getting one.
  24. With any luck, now that Studio Halfeye is doing a Dangaioh, a SOC one isn't too far behind. I remember Studio Halfeye doing a Gunsbuster right before Bandai did the SOC Gunbuster.
  25. The decision to extend the original Macross TV series happened while the show was still running. Episode 28 aired a week after episode 27 (that was the episode it would have ended were it not extended). Macross Perfect Memory actually has a list of when each episode aired. Episode 27 aired on April 24, 1983; episode 28 on May 1, 1983.
