  1. The new Z isn't bad, but I prefer its G37 sibling. I wonder if it has something to do with the G being the US-version of the Skyline.
  2. If you look at most of the robots in Japan, you'll notice that they're usually not autonomous machines controlled by an on-board AI. A Gundam or Valkyrie without a pilot is as useless as a car without a driver. Robots in most American works are usually self-operating machines with an advanced AI system.
  3. Actually, I met Mikimoto at Katsucon in '99, Kawamori at Otokon in '98, and Mari at Otakon in '99.
  4. Ugh, I just wasted time reading the last ten pages of this. My head hurts!
  5. Add me to the list of MW members with Mari's autograph. I had her sign my gold book a couple of years ago. I also have Mikimoto and Kawamri's autographs in it as well.
  6. I believe that someone mentioned that, according to Macross Chronicle, humans can be enlarged. As for why Michel was never enlarged can be anyone's guess.
  7. If I'm not mistaken, those ships are from Dynamite 7.
  8. Her name is Haruka Grace.
  9. You did a fantastic job on the Linebarrel, electric indigo! It looks great!
  10. I've never owned a sports car, but I'm pretty sure that I could even navigate that turn without losing control of my car. The closest thing that I've owned to a sports car is my current car, a 2005 Sentra SE-R Spec V.
  11. Same here. After Robotech and my first view of DYRL, I was able to follow Macross as its sequel (and prequel) were released. I really hated those dry spells, especially the period between Plus/M7 and Zero.
  12. I used to have this! The only things from it that are still around are the armored Valkyrie and the Tomahawk. I actually got the kit when it was released as part of Revell's Robotech line about four months before Robotech came out on TV. At the time, I had no idea what Macross was, but thought that both the armored Valkyrie and Tomahawk looked really cool. I didn't even have the slightest idea at the time that the Valkyrie was actually supposed to be a transformable robot!
  13. I realized how cool Macross was the moment that I saw my very first episode of it as Robotech. I missed the first episode of it and found out about it from my best friend who had seen the first episode the day before. Macross became even cooler to me when I saw DYRL for the first time. This was about a year after Robotech came out. DYRL was also the very first anime that I saw in its original language.
  14. If Basquash! was just a normal basketball anime, I'd be passing on the series!
  15. That's actually kind of funny when mentioning F & F going to American muscle trend when the Musting has a Japanese car engine in it.
  16. I never saw the last F & F movie, but was that Mustang the one that supposedly had the Skyline GT-R engine in it?
  17. Mine only had the 351 Cleveland engine in it, nothing fancy at all. By the time I got the car, it looked like it had been to Hell and back. I paid $200 for it and it lasted me about a year and a half. Strange as it may seem, I sometimes actually miss that car!
  18. Nope, the VF-25's head faces forward in fighter mode.
  19. The concept of this show is weird, but it works! I loved the first episode and I will definitely be following this show for its entire run. I have to say that I'm quite enamored with Miyuki!
  20. Funny, my first car was a 1976 Ford Gran Torino sedan. Too bad they were no where near as popular as the coupe.
  21. Ha ha. I've been dealing with the lack of speed control in other drivers for as long as I've been driving. 22 years to be exact.
  22. David, I think you should add speed control to your test! I really hate when I get behind a driver that can't keep a consistent speed. Is it really that hard to maintain a nice steady 65 mph speed instead of going between 60 and 70?
  23. You know, I don't think that character is ever identified anywhere. At least not anywhere that I've seen. I'm guessing that he's either Boddole Zer's attendant, or his second in command.
  24. Don't know much about history, do you? There's plenty of cases throughout history where teenagers made grown, up, world-changing decisions.
