  1. They kinda threw real world out the window though with the missing headrest, non white landing gears and the over the top tampo...
  2. LOL! I would hope not. They already kinda burned the early adopter of the V1 line of VF-25's. So glad I resisted those, well it was not hard to actually.
  3. ^^ In a perfect world, but at this point I have not seen Bandai even mention this problem let alone acknowledge it's existence.
  4. This is like deja vu all over again. I thought this made your toys re yellow at a super fast rate. Maybe the ingredients are different?
  5. Wow you were little when that came out? I feel so old...
  6. Well, it's the fact that the diecast parts are small and not very abundant in the new toys. The toys I had growing up were full on diecast like some of the Soul of Chogokin toys are today. I mean my first Voltron as a Kid was super solid, you could knock someone out if you were not careful while whooshing it around lol.
  7. I really don't see it as a defeat at all, I have both and like both. I still feel like Yamato/Arcadia make really nice display pieces and Bandai makes a nice toy, I also wish they would have caught on to the matte finish sooner than the YF-30. I think the 19A would have looked better without so much freaking tampo. If it was toned down just a bit, I would like it that much more. I could do with maybe a 3rd less tampo. I mean how many times do you have to put the word danger next to the air intake on the side of the plane? they already had the Triangle shaped one but had to add the extra one in the middle of the triangle. Maybe that was Bandai trying to make a version Katoki (Gundam Ver.Ka) out of a Macross fighter, even the film did not have that many markings. I think they always miss little details too like the landing gears being the wrong color and having a pilot chair without a headrest. I also don't get how they missed the tab in the rear with fast packs on while in fighter mode, to the point they Photoshopped it out of the promo pics, and they never went back to fix the gap in the rear in fighter mode. The VF-19A is very similar but it does have slight differences from the Plus era YF-19 in styling so there is that. I look at them as just that though different era 19's. I bought a couple of each mfg's 19's, but bought the Bandai ones specifically for the Frontier style wing boosters in fighter mode. All in all though I would not get rid of either as I am a 19 freak. I have 2 from Yamato, the standard and double nuts, all of the VF-19's that Yamato released including dupes to make a squad as long as we are not talking Basara's although I have 2 of those even lol. I have 2x of the 19P too. TLDR; I love all of teh 19's
  8. I personally would prefer these 2 be made by Arcadia so they would fit in with the collection a bit better. Especially because Yamato did the DYRL SDF-1 and the YF-21 would fit in nicely with the Arcadia YF-19. I would love it if they did release Brera's Ghosts and the Cheyenne destroid in the near 1/60 scale they do. A long time ago I brought that up but a lot of people don't like the Cheyenne lol. I wanted it back when Yamato was doing the Mac 0 stuff. In all honesty though I have a feeling they are gearing up for the new stuff that will come with the new Macross series. I think they will most likely keep doing repaints for now, but who knows right?
  9. Die cast can be very weak too, I had a VF-4 arm just fall in to my lap with no pressure applied. Rumor is that sometimes die cast is weak because there could be deformities or bubbles in side making it structurally weak. Man sad to see this
  10. Yeti is correct, it can be a pain in the ass to get it down though. On my first VF-171 I almost thought it was missing as it was so flush and tight.
  11. I would love to replace all my stands with Yeti stands, but my collection is so huge that I would need some sort of bulk pricing to even be able to make a dent.
  12. I have every box for every toy I own lol and they are not all on my toy collection blog list.. the list only contains my Macross and Gundam toys. Maybe once I clean up and get them all sorted I'll post up a pic. One whole wall of my home office is all closet space and is completely full. My bedroom closet contains a lot of the misc toy and statues/figures I own. Now my living room has a wall where I have been stacking most of my new stuff that is coming in.
  13. Happens to the best of us.
  14. I have yet to take mine out for a spin, but I was really sad when I realized I missed out on it in the past and promptly order the reissue. Glad to hear that it has a lot of metal content in it that should give it some heft. Of course Bandai loves the the RX78-2, it's such a classic.
  15. Ah thanks for that, I have not opened mine up yet. It is still in the bubble wrap and the brown shipper box.
  16. Back in the day there were quite a few that agreed with the valkaholics thing.
  17. I have a Valkyrie addiction problem, so I feel no need to justify the purchase. Sad, but true..
  18. So with the many episodes that this series includes, are we looking at like $800 for the BD release?
  19. I'm not even sure team JP is going to use the Kuratas for this. The Kuratas seems like more of a technical/consumer type, I have a feeling they would use another design. In that second video they showed stuff I didn't even know that guy had made beside the Kuratas.
  20. I stuck to my 1x 29 per color scheme rule. I cancelled the one I had secured at CDJ. I love ordering from shops that actually allow the consumer to change their mind, unlike some of the notorious shops that have mentioned here in the past.
  21. Loop

    Hi-Metal R

Yeah, I am basically going to leave them all boxed, if the bad guys don't get made I am selling them off.
  22. I don't think so. I am also rooting for JP, I think they should be able to come up with some cool wild design I would hope. I like the melee angle too, paint balls just don't cut it in my book. I want to see carnage lol.
  23. Looks nice, better than the promo they had on display where they forgot to slide the backpack down. I have yet to open mine up. Are the super parts darker than the alto and cannon fodder parts? They almost appear black.
  24. I have no Idea, but I would gladly take 2 in this scheme without the Itasha to round out my squad with Alto.
  25. Yeah I got one too, I already had one at CDJ also.
