Never tried the stand as I usually never use them on any valks.....besides it's awful looking.... Will see if it works on mine....none of the other reviews posted seem to have ever shown it as being an issue....interesting....

Yeah...I guess comparing it to the KC 1/72 VF-1S and the CW F-14 Fokker -1S will be good... It looks nice, however, the tampo seems to be lacking...especially since it doesn't need to do anything other than super look cool in fighter mode... Right now it just looks like an bigger Doyusha to me. Thanks to @Sanity is Optional I got it for a decent price!

Agree, it runs more onto the yellow side of the spectrum.... Blatently incorrect color choices from Bandai and Arcadia seems to be very common these days.....not much you can do other than not buying it I suppose.... Only watched the show once and have no immediate plans on watching it again....so it makes it easier to ignore the discrepancy!

It is easily the weakest part of this toy....fortunately, the rest of the tabs that work in conjunction with the intake tabs do hold rather well....in fighter mode..... The tabs on the intake do not do much for gerwalk...the tab to the side just does not fit.....not sure if it is the tab or the hole that is the problem.....maybe both......the tab on top of the intake is too short or the hole where it plugs into is too shallow for a strong hold.....to make matters worse, the weight of the diecast feet makes the connection come loose easily...no swooshing around in gerwalk with this one.... And yet, I really like this toy....hopefully KC can address this weak spot on future releases -

The more I fiddle around with this KC VF, the more I like it....it does, however, have some quirks....finally got around to the lighting gimmick....it looks really nice....unfortunately, my copy has an annoying problem....somehow, no matter if I turn the light switch off for the cockpit lights, when I re-install the nose cone...the dang lights keep coming back on.......so basically, I have to remove the tiny batteries to disengage them.....anyone else have that issue? I was finally able to get the gun handle removed to allow for it to be mounted in fighter mode....unfortunately, as pointed out already...it does scrape the ground.....hopefully they can just make the landing gear just a little bit longer to fix that issue....there certainly seems to be enough space within the landing gear bays to support longer landing gears....and while they are at it, it would be nice if they could make the connection of the gun to the arms a bit tighter...it is too loose and tends to droop a bit.... Also, they included the side covers....but they should have also included some snap in covers for these areas...maybe on the next releases.....for what it's worth I sent KC these observations.... Per KC, VF-1J "Rick" in July...VF-1J Max in December. Pretty agressive schedule...hopefully these sell well for them. For now, I'm in.

very nice....but can someone tell them that they are missing the most important Zentrans.....the Soldiers! Sure, I will certainly buy ONE Britai, but I would PO SEVERAL Zentran Soldiers! Guess I'm still good for now....

Yeah, that has been brought up before and you are 100% correct.....However, in terms of the toys, every release so far from Bandai and Yamato/Arcadia has always been a hybrid.....it is never 100% TV or DYRL...even the latest DX 1/48 is no exception....so those specific "sections" have more or less received an indefinite "pass" from most lineart purists who want to collect these VF-1's...it is an understandable cost-savings omission and honestly, not that big of a deal....so just swapping the VF-1D MtF head would most likely be exactly what Arcadia would give us if they decided to release one for the masses

It's a shame @kurisama never got around to the VF-1D MtF head....the rest of the figure is the same as the SDFM VF-1D, so literally it would just be a head swap....

Maybe they should scrap the 1/60 and release ONE in 1/48 DX scale.....an all inclusive armor set...meaning all armor/weapon combos in one set....
