  1. So you basically bought it without knowing what it was? Have you not learned your lesson yet? Didn't you initially come on these boards with the same issue on some Macross cels you had bought that turned up to not be originals? Do you really want to be a part of the MW Cel collecting community...or do you just want to "pop in" each time you need help with selling, trading and scalping?
  2. Are you trying to get a price so you can scalp this one too on ebay?
  3. I have to admit, the credited artist, Jay Sullivan, really captured the "look" of the old school Takani/Suzuki boxart used on the packaging for Macross Takatoku Toys and IMAI/ARII model kits of the day. It looks great! Ironically, this Toynami release is taking us aboard the wayback machine to the days where the box art was better than the toy inside.....in Toynami's case, much, much better....
  4. The GBP gift set also came with a "grey" VF-1S....
  5. And for the kids who may not be aware of the original 1983 Takatoku Super VF-1S release....
  6. Instabuy for sure on a similar HMR.... Surprised this hadn't been done sooner.... Last ones to have a similar throwback packaging were the Megahouse's SDF-1 and Hi-spec Orguss release... I think I'll need to get this Toynami release
  7. Looks like another repack of the same old 1/100 Toynami VF-1 mold.... The nostalgia is laid on thick on this one though....I'll try to get it https://www.google.com/amp/s/toy-wizards.com/2019/03/18/toynami-announces-macross-vf-1s-super-valkyrie-wondercon-exclusive/amp/
  8. https://movieweb.com/star-wars-old-republic-movie-trilogy-fall-start-date/ I hope this is true!
  9. Welcome to the Macross Plus Lucy Mcmillan Animation Cel Owners Club....
  10. That is from an old reprint of the Macross Perfect Memory.....the plan back in '87 was to have translated the book to English but it obviously never happened.....guess you can blame HG for that too....
  11. I'm still waiting for my Books Nippan/US Renditions English translation of the Macross Perfect Memory book!
  12. Macross DYRL Film Story Book (Chinese Bootleg Edition)
  13. So I know that the actual Macross history as represented on screen (big or small) depends on how Kawamori feels like on the day you happen to inquire about it....but basically, you are saying the VF-1D exists in the same timeline as the VT-1? For some reason, I just thought the VF-1D was retconed out once the VT-1 became a thing. After DYRL came out, it seems that most of the tech from SDFM TV was cast aside in favor of what was depicted in DYRL...so basically recreating the new canon for everything you thought was canon during SW1. And just when you thought you may have had it all straightend out in your head, MtF decides to change it up again!
  14. Guess the "intern" budget was slashed or they are just holding them until the next VF-11 book comes out...
  15. I could start another Macross Collectibles thread and call it the.."Now I've seen Every Macross Collectible"...but I'll just drop these here instead..... Macross 7 tissue paper packs!!! These are great for wiping away the tears when you just missed out on the hottest Macross PO.....your 400+ valk just busted a leg.....or the PO you thought was secure just got cancelled!!!
  16. Another thing missing from this book are all the wild variants usually created for the other VFMF books.....too bad, those are always fun A couple of YF-11's.....
  17. This one is doomed for sure...
  18. Just add to the "VF" an "MF"!
  19. In terms of shipping speed...Amazon.jp can't be beat!

    Hi-Metal R

I think that would be the Macross Collectible equivalent of "Jumping the Shark"!
  21. I certainly do not blame them for doing what they seem to be doing......we are getting pretty close to the bottom of the barrel and they have to do what it takes to stretch things out given what is left to cover, assuming they wish to release some more VFMF books. Other than the VF-17, I think everything else will be much more obscure to most casual fans. Of course, they can always delve into a VF-2SS book or two! And who wouldn't want a Destroid edition?
  22. I do like the bigger squadron illustrations too....but clearly it was a way to fill up full pages while still delivering a book with "less" overall content....namely devoid of Battroid and Gerwalk eye-candy and the accompanying technical bits... The Battroid and Gerwalk lineart is nice and clean though....
  23. VF-11 Squadrons....
  24. The usual Max and Milia schemes seem to enjoy more coverage than usual in this VFMF book....not a fan of the colors on non-VF-1's, but they look beter than most on the VF-11...
