Thinking pretty deep. They are also looking into destroids and enemy mecha towards end of next year. So the release schedule will be pretty aggressive for what we have seen so far. Makes sense based on how prolific they were on the repaints for their SD lineup. So expect Vermillion Squadron and the VF-1J CF at minimum. Apparently the delay was caused by some complaints with packaging and the batteries. Hopefully, this 1/72 line will be a hit for them.

I think @no3Ljm already knew the book source... I should have some time over the holidays to look through some more old school mags....I seem to recall what you are describing.....just have find the right issue....the color comic mag was close but I remember another mag having the same thing.... Maybe that TV kun(?) mag

Thanks for the link. This thing looks really impressive! Even the removable nose cone has details not seen before in a toy. Also, the cockpit area looks really detailed up. I think I am looking forward to this more so than the Bandai DX-1J. Just hope it doesn't come with a built-in shelf-life.

yeah....was wondering if they kept the lighting gimick and per the back of the box looks like they did.....funny how they really have not showed-it-off in any of the more recent promo pics....meh...if it's not that great it can always be kept off I suppose.... Why the gun?.....I say why not! ...plus they are probably giving homage to the old mag cover....the old ARII pre-painted kits also did the same...they included Hikaru in a fixed pose holding his gun....

Nah.... Just take a look at the releases for their SD line.....repaints seem to be their speciality! Everything looks pretty good....good to see the glossy paint is gone on everything....pretty sure the odd colors on the SDF-1 will go away too if ever produced

If anything, I feel the last few PO's have been really easy to acquire with just the minimal amount of effort....like just being online at 4PM JST.....those basterds!

My kids show no interest in Macross...other than a vague interest from my daughter in some Minmay figs, my son is currently into Lego and Thomas the Train stuff with no interest in anything Macross...I do not feel "lucky" as listing and selling all of my stuff will be a pain in the arse some day......of course I could just decide to "take it all with me"....

Since we are getting an Hikaru pilot for the KC VF-1S, I wonder if the CW Fokker pilot will fit inside it? Considering KC's record though, they will probably come up with some "exclusive" Fokker version in order to get the Fokker pilot fig.

I will sell off everything before allowing it to become a burden to anyone else.....currently it's just my burden!

Not one of the most iconic of the magazine illustrations....Assuming it was legit....I would have expected that one to have gone high anyway..... You can still get the furoku calendar cheap though! https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/t588129367
