Bandai 1/72 fully transform able VF-1 plastic kit for Macross 30th Ann

The Battroid looks still a bit skinny. And what are they doing with the cockpit? A solid relief on which you pop the upper torso of the pilot like the Macross F kits? -

Don't worry, they're in good hands... -
What I found more irritating than CG Arnie's look was that he had Connor right in his hands and kept on trying to kill him by throwing him around. Who developed the software for these things?

What makes these Bandai Valks so frustrating is that you have to make a final paint job on all the individual pieces before you can get to the sub-assemblys and finally see some actual progress on your desk. I'm running into the same problems with the Koto MG Rex kit. Hats off to your patience. Just keep that mental image of how awesome the final kit will be.

Well, good luck with Hamill. Better drop the CGI and have him play Jabba's cousin right away...

The Ambassador class looks like a D-Style Ent-D, IMO. I don't see the improvement.- 1020 replies

Putting all three of the former lead actors (supposedly picking up their old characters) already feels like a bad idea. Han, Luke and Leia should be legends (i.e. dead) in the Sequels. Well, welcome to the Disney Star Wars. I'm expecting Ewoks will be back, too.

I can't believe that people are so fixated on the unanswered questions issue. The first Alien movie left even more questions unanswered, and that's part of the excitement. -
Which software did you use to build the mesh?

In the movie itself, they date the remains of the dead engineers to be about 2000 years old, if I remember correctly. This implies that they were preparing their doomsday machine in reaction to a cataclysmic event on earth... -

If you thought the movie could have been better, you can make alternative scenes with these excellent action figures. -
Abrams has already shown us his idea of an upgrade of a dated franchise with his Trek movie, and I think that's what Disney expects him to do with Star Wars, too. Visually, it will be as opulent as the prequels, cause that is the given standard of a contemporary Space Opera, (maybe they'll dial down the Flash Gordon elements), the story can't possibly be as contrived as the prequel's plot, but most importantly, Abrams can actually direct living actors. Lucas' poor talent in writing and his stiff handling of all the potentially great characters (and actors) really drove the final nail into the Star Wars coffin. I expect Abrams to make a movie that will have the hardcore SW followers tear their hair out, but that doesn't mean that the movie won't be more entertaining than Lucas' movies.
