  1. He was actually quite good at being bad in "Conspiracy Theory".
  2. Are you Trekheads aware of the new kit of the Abramsprise that Revell will release this year? http://www.plastik-modellbau.org/blo...ten-2013/2013/
  3. This is too good to get crushed in a copyright lawsuit.
  4. Sweet electric dreams for 2013!
  5. These left the workbench in 2012: Kotobukiya Vic Viper, Bandai Gadessa, Moebius Galactica and Hasegawa VF-11.
  6. Cultural Crossover! The Logo on Drossel Charming's ride is clearly derived from the Blade Runner Spinner car logo:
  7. The special edition BR will have extra lens flare. In fact, there will be a whole disc containing just extensive lens flare sequences. - Really, I think the lens flare criticism has gotten a bit out of proportion. But at least it seems to keep people from going after JJA for his shaky camera work.
  8. Nice. Tom Hardy is a good start. I hope for a reboot. I wonder if we'll see Charlize Theron (with her shaved head) as an incarnation of Tank Girl.
  9. I wouldn't have too high hopes there; with their re-release of the Imai kits they basically have that ground covered, and I doubt that the other kits have a comparable selling power to the VF-1. Even the Q-Rea kits were cancelled while Macross F was still a hot franchise.
  10. Maybe robot films going blockbuster-mainstream means the designs don't have to please the niche mecha fan community, like the Bayformers they only need to work cinematically, i.e. as a general impression, to the general audience. We had this in Real Steel and in del Toro's own Hellboy: The Golden Army. The robots are plot devices, and not the stars of the show.
  11. I still wonder if we'll have a "Planet of the Apes" moment at the end. After all, this is a M. Night Shyamalan film.
  12. Love the visual aesthetics. The general approach (visuals & setting) reminds me of some european comic stories from the days of the old Heavy Metal magazines. "Gangrène/Garbage" from Juan Giménez and Carlos Trillo comes to mind. If it turns out to be a "wealthy elite exploiting the rest of the planet" plot, it will be interesting to see it next to Blomkamp's upcoming "Elysium".
  13. I think Pacific Rim would need more Super Robo than Real Robot voltage.
