IMO, you've clearly got the wrong impression of this game.

Ah, we silly North Americans. Show us a pair of tits or a penis and we run...we scream...we hide...we make SNL skits to mask our awkward sexual repression. Thank you North America, you never cease to embarass me. As some consolation, at least the skit made me laugh

Finally grabbed myself a 1400 point Fastcard for the X-Box and then downloaded Fez. It's amazing. Pretty much everything I expected and then some. The first level (with "reboot") is hilarious and shows this fella clearly has a great sense of humor. Control is tight, 3D works beautifully and the music is amazing. So fun to explore. I can't wait to play more. Mommar I think there is going to be more than a few tips of the hat during this game. I also find some of the Engrish used in the dialog amusing Tober I've no doubt this this will be ported to other platforms. I got Limbo on the PC about 8 months after it came to the X-Box. Might be a wait, but it's worth it. To be honest, I'm likely going to buy this game again when the PC port happens. Plus I'm going to get that soundtrack too. Love this game

Oihan That PSN card is EXACTLY what I'm looking for. Thanks. This will be the perfect way to buy something on my PS3. Awesome. Oh btw, I wouldn't worry about "overselling" the game in your posts. A game like Journey is by it's very nature the opposite of mass appeal gaming. It's not going to grab everyone precisely because it's original and not as familiar. That's why making original content is so much harder than the making more of the status quo. Trust that Journey will attract the right people. Good news is - based on sales of Journey - this game has attracted more than enough consumers and then some!

Graham As far as I know, Fez is for X-Box 360. Like most other similar types of games, I'm sure it will be ported to other platforms, but I'm grabbing it for my X-Box today. Oihan Yeah, I can't wait. I love the music

So, just a quick question; I've never purchased anything via my PS3 and given the awful security of PSN, I'm wondering is there a way to buy games that doesn't involve a credit card? For example, do they have gift cards for PSN or something similar? That would be an ideal way for me to get Journey without PSN exposing my credit card to the internet

I'm just glad we dodged the bullet, but I do lament the loss of the new Macross material that was part of this series. I do hope this tells them something about what the fans are looking for and that they decide to release the new material as additional issues. I can hope

Or it was designed by someone versed in the language of film - knowing the need to visually communicate the idea of a "flying aircraft carrier" to the audience - and so slapped a universally recognizable aircraft deck onto a flying ship and bang, the audience understands

That's pretty damned cool. I like the color coding -
Late last year I watched a trailer for a Documentary film called Indie Game: The Movie which was, obviously, about independent video game developers. One of the three games they are going to be covering in their upcoming movie was a game called Fez. Fez is a call back to old school 2D platformers but rather than just make a nostalgia piece, Fez adds a unique 2D/3D element to the traditional platformer format that plays with 2D and 3D space and physics in very clever and fun ways. Not only that, the visual style is inventive and takes full advantage of advances in technology, merging old 8-bit style character design and structure graphics with high resolution effects. To top it all off, the music is great, both being reminiscent of the limited soundtracks of the older gaming eras but clearly diving into new territory. Fez is set to be released this Friday, April 13, 2012. Reviews have been very strong and I've been waiting for this game almost half a year now. If you're at all interested, I recommend checking out the gameplay video below and visiting the website of the game designer, Polytron. Wow! It's like Another World (aka Out of this World) meets Ico/Shadow of the Colossus. Journey looks incredible! The music, the visual style, the world...I'm in! Thanks so much for posting this Oihan. I've been lost in the impending release of Fez (I'll post a topic) and had no idea about this Journey game until you brought it up. I have to say, I'm a huge fan of the new breed of experimental gaming typified by games like Journey. Video gaming has become so big and is coming to dominate modern entertainment that it has turned into what big box office film is: a lot of money poured into lowest common denominator products. It's so good to see that just like independent film, the experimental game design culture of the 1970s and 1980s is still alive and thriving via the smaller, lower budget gaming industry. It's what makes games like this possible. Btw, if you like Journey, I highly recommend checking out Limbo. It's only a $10 and like Journey, some complain it's too short for the price. But Limbo also presents a unique gaming experience not found anywhere else and an absorbing soundtrack. Highly recommended.

While I'm sad to hear this might be cancelled, I can't help but feel a sense of relief...if the rumors are true. Of course I want more Macross print and reference material, but 80+ issues containing mostly what I have already isn't exactly a fun purchase. For years I've avoided much of the more frivolous Macross merchandise and spent my money on products I really wanted. I never felt bad about the money I spent on those Macross products. The worst thing about this new Chronicle series was that it hits a fan like me in one of the worst ways, in that I kinda need to buy this material for my personal reference and for my website. I also have to say from my perspective, I'm kinda glad that I have the original Macross Chronicle with a lot of the uncolored line art. Most of those uncolored pieces are of superior print quality to what was available in other, older Macross books and I've used those pieces to replace the lesser quality versions on my site. Some of the uncolored art were pieces I'd never seen before in any other book and I colored them for additions to the profiles (such as the "buried" art of the Quiltra-Quelamitz Gunboat http://macross2.net/m3/sdfmacross/quiltra-quelamitz.htm). I'd actually prefer if the Macross Chronicle released MORE uncolored art, not less.

Perhaps that's true. What I am hoping is that a movie like The Raid will motivate domestic filmakers to find their balls again. No disrespect intended to the girls, but it says something about the guys when the last good North American-made action film was directed by a woman.

I've been waiting for several months to see the Indonesian action film The Raid and I am very pleased to say it was worth the wait. In fact, I'd go so far as the say this is the only action film in the past few years that has been worth the wait. http://en.wikipedia....aid:_Redemption The setup is initially a simple but totally compelling plot: 20 cops are charged with raiding an apartment complex in a slum in Jakarta. Filled with criminals of all sort, it's long been an unassailable fortress and once things go awry, the police are trapped inside with almost no hope of escape. I can best describe The Raid as the finest example of a truly proper action film. The flick has it all: almost non-stop action, guns, knives, fists, feet and some of the most cringe-inducing deaths that have ever been seen on film. Better still, the acting is solid, the story offers several genuine surprises, the visuals are amazing and the soundtrack has as much punch as the fights. The fight sequences are so memorable and vicious, you can't wait to watch them again and grow your appreciation of the style and effort. This movie is the complete package and leaves you with that all too rare feeling of true excitment. Without a doubt, The Raid is an instant action classic. Even having just seen it, this film already ranks among my favorite action films of all time. Yes, it is that good. This film has my highest recommendation possible.

I've got Game of Thrones Season One on Blu-Ray and it's incredible. Easily reference level for HD, both video and audio. Disks are very nicely put together and jump to the main menu almost immdediately. The special features are solid and the commentaries are pretty damned good (even the weaker ones have their moments). Highly recommended.

I've checked out "Yonder" and it's not bad. I'm definitely inclined to seek out more from Trentemoller. He's got a good sound.

Yeah, my coworker noticed this yesterday. I watched the second episode last night and the series is now back in full swing. Excellent episode, lots of tension and a great final act. I particularly liked the scene with Tyrion and Cersei verbally sparring about the more colorful elements of their family history. So damned good.

A reserved but amazing start to the second season so far. I'm so invested in the fates of so many characters, each episode is a delight. I particulary enjoy the setup of the next chapter of character relationships; Tyrion and Cersei, Cersei and Joffrey, Sansa and Joffry, Danerys and her khalisar, Rob and Renly, Stannis and his impact on the realm, etc. So damn good. I hope this series lives up to it's promise. it has the potential to become as good as "The Wire" or "Breaking Bad"...possibly even better. Can't wait for more.

Wow, what an entrance! I'm just going to mirror the replies here and say this is incredible work. i particularly enjoy the very high resolution of these pictures. Just rented the spanish film "The Skin I Live In" and while I wasn't crazy about it, the movie did have both an excellent score and introduced me to a track by Danish artist Trentemøller called Shades of Marble. Awesome stuff. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MPnF22b4GI
