    - Good one @tekering - No Roy for me yesterday...... Maybe today!
  2. Oops, double post.
  3. @Dobber - Going with the good ole Rio Grande from DS-9, however, I'm gonna do a couple small TX state flag symbols/flag decals just for fun! Cause hey, gotta represent my great state of TX!

Roy's out for delivery down in TX today! Can't wait to get home from work!
  5. @Thom - Thanks! @peter - Yeh it has greeblees on top of its greeblees! LOL! I don't know how much more I'll do though...haha! @Dobber - You have no idea -- this is the longest I've ever taken building a kit - I'm at the 10.5 month mark, BUT, the custom interior was a HUGE chunk of time, and the lighting, and the terrible fit of the fit in general! Been a breeze other than that!
  6. Runabout detail painting continues... We're getting down to the small details now.. Stay tuned!
  7. Very cool! These are SO rare. Can't wait to see it all built up and painted! Good Luck!
  8. THIS!!! Flight suits are cool and all, but I really hope they go around again and do the dress uniforms at least for Rick and Roy. Maybe another Minmey outfit as well. I would buy again.
  9. Ya know....if I had nothing but money, I'd have all these on some cool floating shelves in my office at work. Damn, they do look good!
  10. I sincerely HOPE SO as my Hickaru took a fall and his arm popped off at the elbow..had to glue it back..not a very well made figure IMHO. Going to treat Roy very gently.
  11. Ok, I'm gonna have to watch the whole trilogy once this comes out. That was a pretty darn good trailer.
  12. Bit more painting progress on the Titanic...base drilled out for wiring later, sanded, primed and painted with multiple layers of Rust-O-Leum gloss black from a rattle can. Gold supports assembled, puttied the cracks as best I could, primed and painted with Tamiya Gold from a rattle can. Tamiya Racing White applied to upper hull. Now the fun part, the yellow stripe.... Hindsight being 20/20, I should have painted the black section first then the red, then the white, THEN the yellow line. Oh well. Also got a minute to play with the very cool and stretchy E-Z line I purchased for the rigging! This stuff is really cool! Recommended by the The Midwest Model Shop guy, Ben who's YouTube channel I watch for all things ships nowadays. Not nearly as scared to attempt the rigging now that I have this stuff, still gonna be a challenge, but I'll practice more before the time comes. Stay tuned!
  13. Amazing work so far @tekering! 🤩
  14. Well....that pic says it ALL doesn't it. MP-11 for Alt Mode all day every day. MP-52 for Robot mode does it for me. SADLY...they couldn't keep the same light grey color as MP-11, which for me is why I'm not plunking down $$$ for MP-52. To damn dark!
  15. My Brother In Law got the glass back from the glass place this week and he did the print on the glass for me. It looks amazing. Here is a pic of the glass fresh off the printer and also a mockup of how this 10 month long project is going to look in the end. More detail painting continues... but we're getting there! Bring the warp engines on line!! Hype train now boarding!!!
  16. @peter No, actually it's Dull Red TS-33. It's slightly more red and I think it looks much better. I used Hull Red on my USS Fort Worth hull and now I wish I had used the Dull Red.
  17. The painters reported to the shipyards today...
  18. I'll have to get a pic of my TomyTec VF-1's - If you think the detailing on the Delta Valks is good, just wait...I got two CFs, a Roy and Hikaru. These are totally 100% built out of the box. No decals, no panel line washes. All the parts were undergated was the term I beilieve, meaning there was NO nasty nubs to sand off on any parts that showed! Bandai!! ARE YOU LISTENING!!!??? I only wish they would have continued the line into the more rare birds including VE-1 and Angel Birds/Virgin Road and such, THEN they could have done all the Enemy mecha in 1/144 ,and then Destriods!!! and then a Cats Eye and that other sexy shuttle plane I cant think of the name of!! and then AND THEN!! and ARRRRGGHHHH!!! Ok...calm ..calm down.
  19. I will have to admit, I do like the transformation and how the rear stabs fold up into the main wings. Pretty cool. That inner wing detail is great. I still don't like Alt mode, if I owned it, it would stay in robot mode and I'd be happy. But....alas, too rich for my blood Takara.
  20. @Chronocidal - Man, I remember building those TomyTec kits, I absolutely loved them. Some of the best kits I've built. I think they NAILED fighter modes on the VF-1's and VF-31's. Never bought the Gerwalk or Battroid kits, as they weren't cheap. As you said, the details are just amazing and with just a tiny bit of glue, they display wonderfully. I only wish they had kept the line going and finished the Delta valks.

    Hi-Metal R

Ohh DAMN. Mine's been on display since day one. Yeh everything felt really solid back then. Guess I'll be very careful when I mess with it!
