    I have a feeling Ramsay will live through the whole thing. Kinda like Prince Humperdink in "The Princess Bride" Time to start re-watching last season to prepare!

    > changing some of the dialogue in subtitles to match the Star Blazers mythos (Argo, anyone?) Other than the title being changed to Star Blazers 2199 nothing was changed in the subtitles, there is no Argo, or WIldstar, or Venture, or Nova, etc... in SB 2199.

    It stopped being Death Wish even with him after the first movie. Probably the only movie "series" to go down the drain faster than Highlander.

    I have to watch this soon. I liked most of the Ninja films (despite how bad they were) and Electric Boogaloo is my catchphrase for bad sequels.

    Only exception I would make is to watch the movie version of Yamato 2. The animation is good for the most part, even for today's standards, and the story is still excellent. But it would be best to do so after watching 2202.

    Looking forward to this, original yamato hit a peak with the Comet Empire / Yamato 2. Then quickly fell into an incoherent mess.

    I hope the writing improves for the season finale. They are back in the land of lame at the moment.

    This one is pretty long, probably a good time to start a new one. I never thought this remake was going to be as good as it was when I first spotted that news story way back when!

    Yes, a crossbow has recoil due to the law of the conservation of momentum. There is no need for an explosion, something goes in one direction then there will be equal pushback in the opposite direction.

    I never saw the Robotech Veritech Fighter toy before - so I never knew they went with the super deformed version for their toy. I think that shrug at the end of the interview spoke volumes...

    You know, I was looking at the lineup on TV one day (the modern version of channel surfing, looking at the titles with the on-screen guide, anyone remember TV guide? - but I digress) and saw "Fist of the North Star" listed on one of the premium channels I have. I turned it on thinking "Cool! they are showing an Anime show". When I actually saw it was a Live Action movie I was disappointed but kept watching for a bit - ten, fifteen minutes tops before I turned it off. That thing was rock bottom.

    Don't! It is worse than you can possibly imagine. Speed Racer is Oscar material (granted, that saying has no meaning any more) compared to Jupiter Ascending.

    I was thinking that was just a bad translation. I think it was 6 shots and then had to do the normal recharge, which is what appeared to happen in the original cut of the movie.

    I don't hate Crystal Skull like others do - I reserve that for Temple of Doom. Looking forward to this one.

    If anyone ever managed to make one worse, well, shooting is too good for them. Drawn and Quartering probably too.

    Much much better, the sad part is that editing often makes or breaks a movie (often terribly so) and a fan did a far better trailer in less than a day, with footage only available from the publicly available footage...

    Maybe, but this one looks more like a guilty torture. The black lady's character being the worst of the lot - only way they could have made it more cliche would have been to cast a white woman in black face.

    I watched the whole thing hoping it would get better but it never really did - but I'm still reading your blog!

    I know what I think, I think it looks terrible.

    Looks like a solid Netflix rental. (not a slam, I don't see many films in the theater and my kids are taller than I am)
