    The local theaters do not have the option of picking seats and I HATE being in the middle of the theater, even more I HATE sitting next to anyone. This is also why I normally go during the day when kids are in school. Even without that the IMAX in Atlantic City doesn't have the option of picking seats and it is always possible to get a seat going on a weeknight even though it will still be packed, just get there 30 minutes early.

    Why do people buy tickets ahead of time? I've never had a problem getting into a movie, then again I don't ever go opening night.

    I read somewhere it was a 60% stake of HULU - so in other words they would own it. The scale of this deals bothers me, I like the house of mouse, I really do (*), but having one company control all of this AND what Disney already owns is too much. (*) - I'm a Disney World annual pass owner and go there a whole bunch of times each year.

    So, from what I gather, this entire movie is just a bunch of random bits from other movies thrown together?

    Maybe not the Zenomorph but a Princess Ripley is practically a given...

    Shouldn't it be called "Spidermen" or "SpiderFolks" if any are female. Looks interesting enough for a rental.

    Usually I can ignore ads too but I don't have control of adblockers on all of my machines I access the net with.

    For me it was when trailers started having commercials before them on youtube. THAT is just plain wrong.

    Stresses from maneuvering still apply, even in zero gee.

    That version - the one we got looks like an engineering nightmare. The stresses on that bridge section would be horrible for any real design.

    Since I have Netflix anyway I was thinking of watching it. That comparison works for me, LotR and GoT are both great in their own way.

    Just what I thought - the reverse of when Anime is turned into Live Action movies here in the states. Ghost in the Shell comes to mind. It still looks interesting enough to watch if it comes to a streaming service I use. (how is that for high praise?)

    I didn't notice any sleaze in the ST and SW films he directed so far. People not liking his style is a different matter.

    I like my sleaze sleazier and my Star Wars not Sleazy at all.

    Looked over at Funimation and they have 3 episodes of 2199 online so it looks like the whole series will be available at one time when they are done. I think I'll be signing up soon. I watched the first episode with the english dub and it isn't bad. Hopefully my extra cash will convince them to do 2202...

    Just saw the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade trailer and I have to see this movie (ok, so I ALWAYS had to see this movie), Chewie for the Win!

    I like it too. The SDF-1 itself looks great as well.

    They do, and they also know which one has the most name recognition, by an incredible margin too.

    That was back in the eighties, so they were less then 5 years old when we ate them.

    A friend of mine got a batch of them back in the eighties, the first production run I believe. Gave me the runs like nothing ever since.

    The ending of last season had a couple of nice twists and this one undid them. Really a shame

    I've already got the whole series subbed but if the dub cast is good I may buy it again. I'm hoping this is good news for a 2202 release subbed/dubbed.

    If I were a judge (which I'm not) this attempt at distancing from Macross would not work, it HG loses their rights this would be shutdown in an instant.

    I don't remember them having quite as much screen time last season so the caricature nature of them is really starting to grate more. Could just be the accumulation over time however, I would expect the father at least to do SOMETHING other than be totally ignorant.
