    Temple of Doom was far far worse than Crystal Skull. It was so bad I find it unwatchable.

    Yes, I'll stick with the one before the first film where Lucas was hiding in Hawaii since he was sure it would be a bomb.

    That three trilogies bit is Lucas mis-remembering. He had enough ideas for a trilogy at first but reality cut it down to a single movie and that was it - till it made bofo bucks. By the time Jedi came around it was down to a single trilogy with perhaps more when technology caught up to his "vision" (which does not match the original trilogy of trilogies very much at all).

    Connery was offered a role in the last one and did not want the job. He says he is retired and seems to be sticking to it.

    If Harrison Ford keeps making these eventually he will be digging himself up out of the ground.

    Star Wars tech has (kinda sorta) been in stagnation if not decline for decades - in the real world technological advance is going strong but for the most part our fighters are the same now as they were in the early eighties.

    More than a hint, Dave Filoni says at some point this is not the end of Star Wars animation. If he just means internet shorts that would be like saying a big New Jersey star is going to show up at a concert and Yoko Ono shows...

    It all looks fine to me, then again I never liked the B wings at all - which those ships remind me of so perhaps I've just mellowed on them over the decades.

    Everyone probably already knows but the MST3K revival is now available on Netflix. I was not impressed with that first episode at all but the second one had me laughing a few times. Looking forward to watching the rest of it.

    I'll resurrect this dead thread to mention that all of B5 is available for streaming (free, no commercials) on some site I never heard of before. I checked the first episode and it works pretty well though it is widescreen and I thought that the SFX scenes were only done in 4:3 format even though the live action was shot in widescreen. So perhaps the SFX is being chopped off at the top and bottom. https://www.go90.com/shows/babylon5

    K2, the Blind Guy and his sidekick were full of humor. More than that would have been JarJar.

    Just watched this on demand and it is a bad movie. Granted it is an Underworld film so being bad is to be expected but even for an Underworld film it is bad. It commits the cardinal sin of an action movie - it is boring, even the action scenes.

    Saw it this afternoon, decent movie - better than I expected. Now I want to watch all the GitS movies and TV shows. Although now I am really tempted to see what they would make of Ghost in the Shell: Innocence...

    Oh uh, I still have my old WEG Star Wars RPG, the Starfighters tactical game, and perhaps the source book (may have lost that one) and now you went and put a campaign idea in my head.

    Who you ripping? Ya Hockey Puck... I'm generally loath insult humor but I loved his Mr. Potato Head voice and the persona he gave him. Going to be hard to replace him for the next Toy Story movie.

    You whippersnappers, on my old Atari 2600 you could take out an AT-AT with the blasters of a snowspeeder! Warning - link is for a youtube video of the game with all the glorious sounds an Atari 2600 could produce, and some goon talking strategy...

    Interesting but the basic assumption is incorrect. Rogue One was not a quickly put together and badly resourced operation - it was a bunch of hotheads deciding to do something on the spur of the moment. Almost like those old movies where the gang decides to put on a show but instead decides to take on the Empire. It would have worked MUCH better if the Rebel Alliance had not shown up too, they only closed the shield gate thingy when the rebel fleet showed up. Then again they never did explain all that well how far the transmitter could transmit if the gate was down.

    I recently tried to watch the miniseries and it was very bad and very dated. Turned it off after just a half hour or so. Long story short - I wholeheartedly agree.

    Much better 2nd trailer. This film might just make my watch at the theater list.

    I can honestly say that I am bloody well VERY happy my childhood was not that interesting!

    Sorry, the bit that the little guy can doing something is OK but the big guy doing it is not - garbage. Something is either wrong or it is not.
