  1. But Space Ghost Coast to Coast was better than Space Ghost. The Donny Osmond interview was priceless.
  2. Is it possible for an entire network to jump the shark, if so CN has. And I'm not even a Thundercats fan.
  3. > But isn't it something like droids are regularly wiped so they don't become too much like a living being? THERE is a plot point for a future movie. Droids in Star Wars almost certainly would qualify as sentient by any modern definition and yet they are treated as nothing more than slaves even by the good guys. 3PO had his memory wiped after the original trilogy by the good guys.
  4. > You know I wonder if this SJW talk borders on Political debates. Since the very term is MEANT to be an insult I don't even wonder about it. Which is why I'm taking pains to point it out when I see it. As for the adventures of Rose and Finn, yes it was one of the problems with the movie but it was NOT due to social trends - it just happened to drag the movie down and not make any sense.
  5. Not liking Animal is heresy my man. Plus his bit got rid of the whole "killing a man" part of the song, which is more than the Muppets is known for even though they are not quite as squeaky clean as we normally think.
  6. So what? > pushing of identity politics both on and off screen I tend not to give a carp what is done offscreen, other than breaking the law I don't care. > My Dad was born with one arm. When I worked at Sears (back in the dark ages, when it was the #1 retailer) one of the security guards at our store had one arm, he was a tough mother too.
  7. EDIT - thread moved from Remakes thread so comment no longer applies. Truly a talented singer and hopefully it is a good movie.
  8. The first episode or two of 2199 are available for free on Funimation. So give it a try before you buy. I agree with Focslain, the dubbing is good but not great. Considering the low price on the dubbed version I'll be picking it up even though I already have the 4 discs of Star Blazers 2199 that came out from the old site.
  9. Good to know, I'm going to be subbing to Funimation in a month or so - I would like to go through 5 episodes or so at once when I join up. Going to be torture waiting each week for the ones after that of course.
  10. It is also on Funimation. I don't know if that is dubbed or subbed or both since it is for subscribers only.
  11. SyFy's "The Expanse" has been cancelled. Considering the license agreement I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did. I can't imagine not having streaming rights these days.
  12. Strangely enough I just read an article from JMS saying that there was no chance since the TV series rights holders will not release or sell the rights and have no interested in making a new series either. JMS does have theatrical movie rights to the franchise but he said nobody wants to make a movie if they don't have the rights to everything (well, except for Star Trek of course)
  13. So, everyone is also ok with Rethuglicans I take it?
  14. Libtardise? Please keep your crap politics to yourself.
  15. None of that is limited to the "afternoon" shows. This is partly why I try to avoid going on opening weekend too.
  16. SyFy wire also had some blurb about two possible Star Trek movies in the, very early, pipeline. That would be nice but I'm not holding my breath.
  17. > Harmony Gold was shutting down these fan film projects because they were angry that those fans were creating higher quality material can be simplified to > Harmony Gold was shutting down these fan film projects because they were angry that those fans were creating material
  18. Watched all of Lost in Space, while not perfect (far too many people wandering off alone or not telling everyone something important bits) it was well worth watching. Looking forward to the second season.
  19. Now they really are scrapping the bottom of the remake barrel. I guess it is better than remaking something that was actually good.
  20. Night court was great, the Halloween episode still eats at me to this day. RIP Harry.
  21. > They drew out a swift kill of the reminding Resistance into a (months/weeks) long chase. And the fact the Empire (oops, first order) could jump with part of their fleet to box in the Rebels (oops again, Resistance) is not even thought up.
  22. Awesome! Looking forward to this with 2202 now as well.
  23. I'll ditto that. Luckily there is a lot of other good stuff on funimation to make signing up worth it anyway.
