  1. A fellow on a miniatures forum is asking about the color scheme from Queen Emeraldas' ship. One of the options he saw online was a Silver color. I don't remember seeing it that color before but I'm not a huge Harlock fan so may well have missed it. Can someone give me a link to post on that other site for the fellow to follow up on?
  2. I seriously doubt that Ron Howard would have taken on a project with an "unworkable" script. This sounds like someone trying to drum up drama for attention. Not saying the movie is good or bad, have to wait to see it for that but RH hasn't made a stinker yet. (Uh oh, looking through his films it seems he directed that Jim Carrey Grinch movie...)
  3. > the characterization of The Old Man as a bad guy He was the quintessential business guy - money is all that mattered. Which to me makes him a bad guy but not an evil guy. That is what was missing from his character in the second movie (the third movie was so bad I can't remember much of it and what I do remember I wish I did not).
  4. That would be GKar. Londo started out as a bafoon, turned into a douchebag, and finally a hero. In the Beginning was the best of the B5 movies even though it was just a clip show to allow people who had not seen B5 to catch up on events. Legend of the Rangers was that series pilot trial balloon on SyFy, only character from the original show on it was GKar I believe. It featured a weapons targeting system that would give the operator a heart attack in 20 minutes (really, someone ought to do a motion study for ANY device in a scifi show before they put the thing on screen). It also featured special effects that made syfy's Airwolf episodes look decent.
  5. I'm rewatching Babylon 5 on the streaming site that has it for free. The first season is even better the third time around then it was the second time around. All the little hints of future events are easier to spot.
  6. Agreed - till the very last one with Maul in it, then they nerfed him all over again. But Clone Wars and Rebels are worth watching, the last few episodes of Clone Wars being excellent.
  7. Was that supposed to be Roy next to Claudia? He got fat. Then it looks like Roy killed Global and Claudia covers it up?
  8. Where would she have learned to swim? Didn't bother me if she did swim in TLJ, I remember falling in the water but not her swimming. Rogue One Space Battle - side story and not part of the Star War "series". DYRL - I would not count that as a "Lesser" movie...
  9. I dislike the RotJ space battle, it was everything that went wrong with the series after that point. Namely that spectacle (MORE SHIPS ON SCREEN!) overtook emotional impact from then on. One big caveat though, I can't think of a Star Wars battle in any movie that did not flow well - lesser movie space battles leave me wondering what the heck is going on at times.
  10. Just saw it (yup, a little late but had a lot to do this past month). Had fun, loved the ending bits. Still far above the prequals and ROTJ, not quite as good as the original two.
  11. Saw another picture of the Andromeda class carrier and the connection between the hangar deck and the rest of the ship looks sturdier than other pictures - but it still looks like a dreadful design.
  12. I liked it, a fun little romp for Capaldi's last show. Would have been nice to see Smith doing his Patrick-Troughton Dr. again, perhaps as part of the regeneration scene. Maybe for the next Doctor's sendoff.
  13. It is going to take more than one under performing film for Disney to scale back on SW movies at one a year. This is more than films, it is advertising for a new theme park (practically) in florida and California. Are they doing SW lands at their other parks? My guess is almost certainly but I don't keep track of the others.
  14. My thoughts are I might watch it when it comes on HBO but then again I might easily forget too.
  15. Scooby Doo was THE show that all the kids in my house agreed on every Saturday morning. Rest in Peace.
  16. The local theaters do not have the option of picking seats and I HATE being in the middle of the theater, even more I HATE sitting next to anyone. This is also why I normally go during the day when kids are in school. Even without that the IMAX in Atlantic City doesn't have the option of picking seats and it is always possible to get a seat going on a weeknight even though it will still be packed, just get there 30 minutes early.
  17. I read somewhere it was a 60% stake of HULU - so in other words they would own it. The scale of this deals bothers me, I like the house of mouse, I really do (*), but having one company control all of this AND what Disney already owns is too much. (*) - I'm a Disney World annual pass owner and go there a whole bunch of times each year.
  18. So, from what I gather, this entire movie is just a bunch of random bits from other movies thrown together?
  19. Maybe not the Zenomorph but a Princess Ripley is practically a given...
  20. Shouldn't it be called "Spidermen" or "SpiderFolks" if any are female. Looks interesting enough for a rental.
  21. Usually I can ignore ads too but I don't have control of adblockers on all of my machines I access the net with.
