Well, after a couple years, my UNCF Nautilus is back on the table. Had to do a little repair work as the stretch I was going to put into the bow that I've since decided not to do, but that part's finally all together again. A little clean up to do, but then I can do the stern stretch, fill out the lower scoop and put a landing deck on the back of the superstructure.

Well, locked off from her powers so much that she didn't even know they existed, and then 'tutored' by a psycho lover who wanted to turn her into a weapon, and when she finally did run back to her family for help, she was locked away in the basement. When we consider that it all happened in the span of a few days, that's a lot of trauma to try and deal with all on her own. I'm not surprised she went into a rant, though she did it with powers that could destroy the world... I like her. She's my favorite character. I also think she's completed her 'redemption' arc. She needs to grow into her powers a little more certainly, but on the relationship side she's experienced both the bad and the good, and came away from it better. Plus, she appears to be fully seated back into the family, so I feel a retreading of her past, in any major depth other than as a side note, would be a waste. And yes, the Handler was deliciously wicked!

Just finished this today, and I had fun all the way through. I might be in the minority, but the first half didn't feel slow at all! Like season one, the story lines and the actors playing the parts are just so engaging, that going off on little side trips down memory lane are fun rather than dragging. As for Vanya... Now I must wait for Season three...

For just me though, that $30 value better include a Popcorn and Soda shipped to my door! That not being the case, I'll wait for the DVD, or a cheaper stream somewhere.

I think it would have looked both cool and 'in-universe.' The ship they have just looks too 'un'Trekish... Whereas the Raven could be modified to make it look more sleek and Rios-ified for a hero-ship role.

Really like that maintenance display, and that you've kept the parts in such a way to have it all as one when needed. It's looking really good from here! Like the subtle patterns on it. And as @David Hingtgen stated, the SDs always looked pretty white and clean.

It's surprising how many one can accrue over time - and still think one does not have enough... Don't fall over too fast though, as you've probably completed for more than I have in stock.

Hey, a shining character is built, not born! And considering the silk purse you made out of that Connie, I will wait anxiously for you to crack open those Macross models! Ooh, that's looking great! Love that tan-tone. I think she looks great! You don't want to get too close to some of my models too... But I like the look of her.

Yes, O'Brien was weird and Firefly was just all-around great. They would show the bars as being 'good' at least to a few. But still, overall, they are still decried in most stories as yucky... Thinking about it, it's possible the ration bar is made to be only partially palatable so that people save them for last, but I think when I introduce a ration bar in my story, it's going to be delicious!

Its like ration bars. No matter what, book or show, the ration bar is always disgusting and barely palatable. I would love to read or see a show where the beleaguered ration bar is treated like a delicacy.

Your new build looks sooo good! So what if the gray is the wrong shade?! Most people are not going to hold your model up beside the TV to compare it to a still shot from one of the movies. They'll do what the rest of us are doing, oohing and aahing!

Sure, there are a few spots here and there you can groan about, (You should see some joins on my 1/72 Dragon P-61...) but overall she is looking really good! Considering what you started with and the hiccups along the way, I'd be proud to put it on my shelf! I will add to what @wm cheng said, and maybe hit it with a clear coat before remasking, if you do redo the gray. Just give it another layer to grab onto above the existing decals. That is a fantastic looking 'pit, and nice on the pull handles!

I liked season two, except for a few stupid moments (such as Pike being berated by Bernham - or Pike saying the Discovery crew was his family rather than the Enterprise crew...) I'm intrigued by the story line, and though I still think Discovery's design is uninspiring and bland (hoping it will get a future refit), I do hope they keep the AI that was introduced in the Trek Shorts.
