  1. As to the WMG, if you have a wave motion engine, which all of them do have, then you automatically get the wave motion gun. I forget the particulars of how it works, but the 'super gun' is the by-product of the engine itself. I'm sure they could build ships without the gun part of the hardware, but if they're building up a battle fleet to guard Earth then they would want one of those in every hull. And what we are seeing is what Starsha warned them about. At the height of Iscandar's power they were using the WMG without consequence, and it's a real fear that Earth will start doing the same. I don't think they're wrong in using the WMG in defense, but it never takes much to justify just a single use of that kind of power without provocation, and then you're on the slippery slope.
  2. I liked it. It's a little hard to get back up to speed after a couple of months between releases but I was entertained through those last four. It looks like they will be ramping up for the major battles and those fleet actions so far look pretty cool. I just hope it isn't all one-sided with the Earth fleet being decimated with hardly any throw back. Cool seeing the Patrol Cruiser in there too. I still have about four unbuilt, but we can expect some new tooled kits coming out after this then! Also some nice shots of some battleship porn! The one battleship rising up out of the water looked sick!
  3. I love that lil guy in the cockpit reading the manual. Great!
  4. That's a sweet looking Lightning!
  5. Time to dust off the YF-23 plans.... If something did come of it (that being the ability to at least export F-22 tech on at least a limited basis) I wonder of the US might also be a buyer.
  6. Airliner engine disintegrates in-flight. Sadly a woman was killed when debris compromised the compartment, but an ex-Navy Hornet pilot with ovaries of steel wrestled it back to the ground for a safe landing. https://www.cnn.com/2018/04/17/us/philadelphia-southwest-flight-emergency-landing/index.html
  7. Sweet! Love that Jolly Rogers.
  8. That's a cool looking little ship. And it breaks down too!
  9. Pics of a completed model and sprues, care of Hobby Search. http://www.1999.co.jp/image/10486903/10/1
  10. Saw this today. It was very good. Good action and scenes and Vikander I think does a great job as Croft. Liked the little twist on the weapon Trinity was going for. I'll buy this for the movie shelf and I will be there for the sequel!
  11. Will found when it arrives. Jut been notified by HLJ that they have taken possession of their money and my VF4 is on the wing!
  12. I was expecting Luke to die on the in a face-off with Kylo, and though there was a bit of feeling cheated by him not truly being there, I was happy that he was alive at the end. Then he died. I want to love TLJ, but that and the long chase make it impossible. It was a good movie and I like it, but it wasn't near as great as it could have been. Instead, it's now the Justice League of Star Wars. The prequels are still the worst of course, nothing has yet out-Razzied them, but it seems like Johnston really tried. Our best hope for a great (and hopefully sensical) closure to this trilogy is in Abrams' hands. It helps that I did really like TFA and maybe if he tries to do something original rather than retread an earlier movie it might be great.
  13. Would love to see what the Commander could do with that wagon.
  14. My Battlestar Galactica is DUN!! This is actually the second one I made, as the first didn't turn out as good as I had wanted. The build is here, https://imgur.com/a/AfHCp I took two Pegasus kits, cutting the head down and retopping it and using both of the large upper flight decks from both kits for the over/under pods. And using almost all the guns. Maybe too much..?
  15. Michael Blanc would have loved that gun, Crossair! Pretty cool. Galactic Diva, nice mod to the fuselage engines. Did something similar. Also doing mine gear up, though it's in limbo at the moment. My current build is just short of assembly. Needs some touch up here and there and then it's onto decals!
  16. Well, I don't think anyone would say Snape was ever a single dimensional hero. He was incredibly complicated, and I think very rarely was he ever a happy man. It's clear that the only bright light in his life - ever - was Lily. If she had chosen him when they were younger, I wonder if he would have ever joined Voldemort, but she didn't. After she chose James Potter I would assume that Snape nose-dived straight into Voldemort's hands, and didn't turn against You Know Who until after Lily had been murdered. As for Harry, he was someone to loath and endure depending on which parent Snape would be thinking of at any given time. As James' son, Harry was every reminder of all that Snape had lost to the senior Potter. As Lily's son, he was a boy to protect for the memory and love Snape had for Harry's mother. In the end, I think everything Snape did against Voldemort was in remembrance of Lily. For that, I don't think he remembered Queenie in the true sense. Like all the creations he was making afterward, its all subconscious. The memory was gone but the emotions were still there. Plus, what would you do if a gorgeous blonde was making smiley eyes at you?!? As for the Swooping Evil venom, I assumed it removed all memories seeing how the Magical Congress would not have been happy with people remembering any magic happening at all.
  17. Nice! I liked Fantastic Beasts. It was fun, goofy and suspenseful all at the same time. Nice to see Jacob coming back too. I wonder if he'll get his memories back or if this will be with a new introduction?
  18. I do hope Kylo was lying to her about her parents, or just simply speculating. To have the question of her parentage end up as tossed out dialogue seems pretty limp. I want her to be a Skywalker! Or at least a Kenobi.
  19. That's a cool looking walker, MechTech! 505, those valks are looking pretty cool.
  20. Thanks! Have to do a little more painting to neaten the red up, but it's getting close. And the closest HS that sells Tamiya near me is just over an away. Frustrating, though I have been able to get what I need through the mail when I can't make the trip.
