  1. Looks like some great progress so far! Really nice.
  2. Looking very sweet! Currently on hold on my Seafire. I have to switch the nose out from another kit as I fubar'd it.
  3. The Rookie looks worth a look. Being Nathan Fillion I think the assumption is that it will be a funny cop show like Castle was, but I actually think it's going to be more dramatic than that.
  4. Saw it the other day and I really liked it. It's not Oscar worthy, but I was in no way looking for that. What it is is a fun ride with likable characters and a couple neat little twists that I hope will be expanded upon in the next one. It also fleshes out the pre-history of the series, giving a further idea of how Hammond got started on this. And considering how many movies there are, what happened at the end was bound to happen anyway. I'm interested to see where they take it from here.
  5. It's Airfix's 1/48 Seafire Fr46/47. With a liberal helping of cockpit PE.
  6. The Workbench is looking nice and busy. Some good looking builds going on. With mine, I finally reached the fuselage closing stage.
  7. Rockin' that fanny pack!! I'm mixed about him returning. His sacrifice in the first one was pretty complete and well done. I would think it would be best to let it lie and move on - but Steve's coming back baby!!
  8. A good, a prequel to Apollo 13!! This is looking good!
  9. This. So much, this!! The actual Transformers are too much ike secondary characters in a movie named after them. It would be like Indian Jones starring John Rys Davies! Although, now that I think about it, that wouldn't be half-bad!
  10. I have high hopes so far. The first plus is that Bay is not behind the camera for this one. Also they look more like the G1 bots than the magical-mystery transformers of the Bay movies. I really hope this turns into a reboot of the franchise. If not and I like it, it'll go on the shelf next to Transformers the Movie as the only two transformers movies on my shelf.
  11. Nice progress on that Cat's Eye. An all metal finish would look great on it! As for me, test fitting...
  12. Maybe just too much negative press and troubles behind the camera. Once you start hearing that, excitement starts to decline because of the fear that it will translate to the screen. I don't know why the original directors were fired, but Howard was a real good choice to bring it together and I enjoyed it. Alden was good as a young Han on his way to becoming the man we first saw in ANH, Lando was great and Chew was awesome!
  13. Make that FR47 and thank you! I just hope to do it good!
  14. I wish that VF-171 was in 1/72! On my table at the moment is the UNCF Yunagi. An unintensive little kit... ...before I start on my 1/48 Airfix Seafire Fr46.
  15. Gone to seek the biggest headline ever. Rest in Peace.
  16. The live action movies and the animated films are like night and day, especially after the first Bayformers movie. The animated movie from '85 is still the best Transformers movie of EVER! Optimus dying in that one is like the Enterprise being blowed up, in that it has emotional punch especially for a child, and that we eventually get him back in the end. Prime was brought back to life by the Quintizons later on in the series. Saw IF today and it was great! It was ticking from the start and didn't let up at all. There were a lot of characters to account for, but I feel that they fitted them all in quite well
  17. I'm liking the looks of that! Really hoping the model of it comes out quick, maybe in a fleet set with the Kongo class. I had started to build one of my Andromedas but I think I'll wait now until they come out. I really want to use the guns on those to add extra punch to mine.
