  1. Great part about that one was that two came in the box!
  2. I'd say snip or sand down the posts so they don't snap-tight and test it now before you go 'all in.' But it's looking real nice!
  3. One of them at least has a weapons rollbar on the top. Fair to assume they all do. What I also like is that he paired down the number of ships on both sides drastically. Don't have time to do an accurate count, but there are maybe only twenty or so Romulan ships with equal Federation, rather than 200 per side..!
  4. Could that be from the glue poured on the inside for the weight? On the one hand, it's another little niggle from the kit, but not insurmountable. The underside can be filled and sanded and painted, and the shuttle bay door may cover up most of the top-side warping. Carry on, good sir. This bitch has not beaten you yet!! Great looking cars! Gotta say, I love the classic Optimus. So much better than the Bay-travesty!
  5. These are just my anime ones, Macross and SBY 2199/2202. Thom
  6. Small, fast and maneuverable, and packing a good punch. They'd be like heavy fighters.
  7. I wouldn't call those relics. As we've seen, Starfleet has a history of holding onto designs and updating their core systems. And even then, the Sovereigns and the Defiants are still pretty 'young' ships. But at the end of the day, there is far more style in those ships than the ones they hardly put any effort into. These are the ships that I wanted to see. As for 'antique vessels,' there are two Nebula class near the front of the formation.
  8. Damn, that needed MORE!! That fleet popping in gives me the chills, whereas the other is just meh... I would love to see a full clip of the entire encounter!
  9. WOW! Awesome work, Photogirl! Welcome to MMW! Global would be proud to captain her. Real nice getting most of those grid lines knocked down. I was also wondering if some ghost lines still showing would add to the look. As for the cracking around the window insert - super glue! I use one with a brush applicator and go around the crack. Dries quick and not bad to sand as long as you don't wait too long. The harder it gets the harder to sand.
  10. A little more filling and sanding, but she's coming along! You're just laying the groundwork for a fantastic finish.
  11. Don't let the current look of it get to you. It is 'In Process' which is a normal part of any build. Some are cleaner - and some are messy as fuk! No matter how it looks now, remember the Mythbusters shining turds. Fantastic coloring on those parts!
  12. Thank you! That was the Supergirl Corner, but it was a time for a change!
  13. Oh, destination, definitely! The journey could be nice too. Sarcasm aside, they are little tifbits that I would really like answered. Again, if they had never mentioned the Megaroad again after DYRL I would have been content. But they say that it just vanished, well then that's like saying it flew into the Bermuda Triangle an never came out. Now I want to know!
  14. Looks sharp. I like the detail in the gear wells, and they suitably deep.
  15. Sometimes you have to surrender before the battle can be won. Here's to hoping you start liking it soon.
  16. Just redoing the animation for the original series would be fantastic! Maybe toss the Robotech them song in there, but they could certainly freshen up the soundtrack around the dialogue. The original animation certainly hasn't stood up well over time. As for a continuation of the original character, I would love for them to show what happened to the Megaroad. Hikaru and Misa (Rick and Lisa) are the characters I started with and I'd like to see it resolved. Yes, in DYRL they went off to space which was a good ending for them, voyaging out to the stars, but then to say they just disappeared opened it right up again. Add to that there were the hints and teases in Frontier, which leads one to think they had been planning something of a continuation. At the time anyway. But yes, I would like it they moved away from love triangles. Just a straight romance in among the action where there is no 'do you or don't you like her, or her' would be refreshing.
  17. Well, in my anxiousness for the new season to show up, I decided to redecorate a corner of my room! Thankfully got my Canon Pro9000 working again and printed off some 11"/17" pics. The two Yamato pics are showing a bit of gradient along the lines, but that's invisible from a few feet away. If I had some larger file I could probably print some perfect ones out but they're more than good enough! And up in the corner. And the printer, which I got for a steal off of eBay. Don't know if I'll do anymore, but that's my Yamato Corner! Thom
  18. I think I still have half a dozen half used of those in a drawer somewhere!. But yeah, when I came back to the hobby, it was Tamiya Cement and Model Master cement with the metal applicator.
  19. Yeah, those connections look horrifying. Looks like a nice solution for the nacelle sag though. I have a couple of these on the Shelf o' Doom without plans of doing any of them yet. If I did though, I'd probably putty over all those grid lines. Life size they'd be like stepping into a ditch!
  20. Can't wait to see that in the all together!
  21. Lovely collection. All I have left are two old Bandai 3-n-1 Valks that were painted black over time (and are missing more pieces than they have) and an old SDF-1 model in the same condition.
  22. Fantastic looking SDF-!! The paint and washes look great, and nice on the decals. I'll have to keep that in mind. Brava!
