    1/55's revisited

The toy that began my addiction.

I would say it's more fun to transform than the Yamato, the parts all move more smoothly with the ratchets less brutal. A YF-19 would be an insta buy for me.

With the 19Kai done, a Macross Plus line alternating with Macross7 variants would be amazing. I was surprised to see how many people were against the 19Kai mold though.

That thing is on clearance everywhere and they're reissuing it? That doesn't make sense.
  5. When I first watched Macross2, I had never seen Do You Remember Love and probably only robotech's Macross Saga and I enjoyed it. Watch with subs! Later I watched DYRL and realized just how on the rails Macross2 was and just how great it's predecessor was so it lost a lot of it's shine.
  6. There's a lot of very minor variation in that Yamato release list though, especially coming from an era when there were next to no markings painted on the toys.

    Brilliant work so far!
  8. I would say it's definitely worth the time because it doesn't take much time at all... It's movie length.

Wow, great price for a TWE!

I'm loving the Votoms line but agree we need a reason to be excited for more Macross products.

What's been the worst Hi Metal R Macross release? Maybe the VF-2? Still impressive, that toy really needs a larger scale to pull it off properly.
  13. It's certainly curious as Bandai has leveraged other familiar names they've consolidated over the years but Takatoku was a unique case with the bankruptcy and fire sale on the assets and web of related parties laying claim. Would have been way cooler if this was associated with a missing link chunky monkey.
