Kaiju Daddy hasn't updated with new releases for a month now but the last rumor straight from the Medicom store in Japan was Rogue was due sometime in June.
-
The book is okay, extremely camp (by design.) I got it mostly because I love the design of Kitt Carter and the artwork is really great.

That's not the DX VF-31 toy. You can tell by comparing the shape of the hinges on the tail fins and the canards. I'm pretty sure it's the Bandai 1/72 scale model kit.

Firefox21 started following Customising DX VF-31
-
Saw these on the internet. I'm very sure that this is the DX VF-31J. Does anyone here know or try to give it a custom paint job? The VF-31 cannot be disassembled as completely as the VF-25. I tried disassembled mine before and it did not go well. Many parts are glued together. Any comment and experience sharing are greatly appreciated.

STAR WARS Merchandise Episode - 2
Chronocidal replied to Black Valkyrie's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Wrong scale and wrong manufacturer to get excited about. Though I won't lie, I'd drop a load of cash to get proper 1/48 kits of all of the fighters from Bandai (in their ACTUAL scales this time, please? Size them to the pilots and filming miniatures, not the stupid gonked-up EU specs. ) And please can we have a non-electronic X-Wing kit already? It was all sorts of the wrong kind of fancy. I just want a nice kit. The Fine Molds one was really good, but had a few clunky details that Bandai nailed much better. -

RIP Jonathon Jones (John Redcorn, "King of the Hill")

Man, that is terrible! WTF is going on?! I will never understand being so angry about someone hardly being any different to go to such extremes. It's monstrous and hope he spends the rest of his life in jail. -
Love it! Would like to have one too. Very nice job.

Marvel Studios Fantastic Four: First Steps

I’ve always had a soft spot for them. I used to read some of the comics and they had a lot of crossovers back in the 80’s and early 90’s when I was reading marvel stuff. They also had some cartoons that were entertaining although a bit laughable now. I haven’t seen a great movie for them, but the talks from test screenings aren’t sounding so great. I’ll probably still at least check it out on D+- 89 replies

Unfortunately, "AI" has become a buzzword. Just like "blockchain", "the cloud", and so many more words before it. There's a commercial out there about a data analytics software where they threw out "We use AI to blah blah your data blah blah...". No, you're just using ChatGPT to perform data analysis instead of paying 75-90k for a flesh body running Tableau. Sure, we may see AGI, in some stupidly basic form, in our lifetime. But it will need every node in a 800,000+ sq ft data center, powered by a small nuclear reactor to accomplish that. 'Would makes for a good headline, but completely impractical.

How Far Are We Away from Macross Plus?
Master Dex replied to Scopedog's topic in Movies and TV Series
Yeah that's all decades old spaceflight jargon and dark humor that came from old pilots and the steely-eyed missile men at Mission Control. SpaceX is just following up their legacy. Great work but it wouldn't be without what the vintage NASA did first. -

It's been big news in my area last 24 hours, I live just north of San Antonio not to far. From the sounds of it his house burnt down due to the really cold temps we tend to get over the last few years. He'd been using Propane (no pun intended) to heat up his home but it still wasn't enough. So he and his partner stayed at a hotel to stay warm. He was on his way back to the house to check on his 4 dogs when the house was on fire. Cause of the fire was supposedly determined to be the propane space heater however Joss claimed it was vandalism due to he being gay and often having trouble with various people in the area because of that. I can rather believe the heater being the issue as a very similar incident happened with my dad 6 years ago resulting in his home being burnt down and losing several of his dogs. These things happen when you don't think about it. Now, this incident occurred I think back several months, and you roll into yesterday where he was coming to the property to pick up mail where his dispute with his neighbor began. I find it rather odd he's still picking up mail from an area that's no longer livable and not sent somewhere else. But I guess this so called neighbor has had various issues with Joss in the past, rumors are they'd shot at eachother before, I mean this is Texas and all that. But I guess things went to far this time and here we are.
