  1. Past hour
  2. Very cool, I'm glad to see both of these new models. It's interesting how the VT-1 product description says, "The kit is composed of parts that allow you to choose between the Gerwalk Fighter and the Gerwalk." I assume that means it will include the arms tucked in for Fighter mode as shown in the product artwork or the arms extended out like normal Gerwalk mode (which I don't think was ever shown in the movie). It was always interesting to me how it was portrayed in the movie, that Hikaru only extended the legs when they landed and never fully transformed it into Gerwalk mode. I don't know much about the Queadluun Rau appeared in the TV series and only really have the Macross Mecha Manual to reference. It doesn't appear to me that the standard Queadluun Rau has any detail differences vs. Millia's. Here's the "Standard Battle Colors" version from the Macross Mecha Manual. I'm considering ordering two kits so I can do one in this color scheme as a "wingman."
  3. Got my Riobot Tread today from Bombusbee. Very happy with it. Had a hard time finding one that wasn’t like almost 500 euro to ship to The Netherlands. It just showed up in stock one day with a price of just 273 euro. I couldn’t believe it but pressed buy now immediately. Thank god I didn’t wait, were gone pretty soon after that.
  4. Today
  5. Looking at the connectors for the shoulders and legs (especially in Gerwalk and Batroid modes), I wouldn't count on it retaining much stability. Exhibit A: Try to "woosh" that around your room, and it's going to start spewing more parts than a Deep South pickup truck after Junior dun' tried to fit'er with' nitrous oxide for that "extra special punch"! O.o
  6. Here’s the description for the Queadluun Rau from hobby searchI’m just really glad it seems they changed up the necessary stuff rather than just doing what they did with the Macross kit
  7. Everything listed is up for preorder, I checked an hour ago and they weren’t there, but they’re up now. I ordered the Queadluun Rau and looks like November release, but not sure how shipping and such will go down by then
  8. I don't have a 3d printer so can't provide you any details on which types/filament of material to use. As for the removal, these may maybe of service Veef's actual video done 13 years ago I take it that a fair chunk of us here on these threads are not mechanically skilled?
  9. man! welcome back!!! where have you been? Good to see you're still on MW
  10. Yes, I saw that Minmay China dress figure too! Unless I'm mistaken, that's from Mikimoto's Macross manga which essentially took the story of the TV show and matched it with the visuals of the movie. "Macross the First" I think it's called. I have all the books in Japanese, but it'd be great if it could be published in English.
  11. I guess there’s also a 1/12 resin figure to add to the hasegawa list of upcoming goodies
  12. Thanks for the update, I feel relieved now. Hopefully they do a full resin figure of her like they did the movie version. As far as the Glaug, I really don’t know other than maybe the figure would look too small, but then why bother with a cockpit. Maybe by the time a tv Nousjadeul Ger happens, they’ll give him a chance
  13. Hey, I just checked again and I take it back. I just saw a lack of a figure and didn't read it. However, it says specifically TV版ミリアフィギュア in the advertising graphic. D'oh! Additionally, in the product description it says: ミリア・ファリーナのフィギュア原型は太郎もちこみ 氏が担当。/ The Millia Farina figure prototype was created by Taro Mochikomi. In the graphic the Japanese says that it only features the upper half of Millia's body is included, but the kit we already got is like that anyway. I actually bought mine in July when a seller on Rakuten had it on a killer sale, with free shipping. I only paid something like 3800 yen with free shipping. I couldn't refuse! So scratch out my theory that there may be some licensing clause which prevents them from doing non-DYRL stuff. So if that's the case, why did they recreate a great cockpit for the Glaug but no Kamjin figure? Has anyone made an STL file Kamjin for 3D printing?
  14. I'll have to experience one in hand to know, but the chunkiness screamed 1/55 playability or better. If it meets or exceeds that, then that's its selling point; not its appearance.
  15. I didn’t know people ate popcorn at church. I never go, so I guess I wouldn’t know
  16. Well, my situation may not work for you though. I had to give my FedEx account number to D4 Toys, they shipped it, but when it landed in US, FedEx did not have correct information (Country or origin) on customs paper. This delayed the process, and both myself and D4 Toys submitted correct information to FedEx. Few days went with no movement, I contacted FedEx to make sure that they had information in their file. Another few days and nothing, so I called again, and this time, I was passed to different people few times, and I had to explain what the item was in more detail (Action figure, plastic content, etc). FedEx agents all stated that since the 27th of August, a lot of new people got hired due to de minimis ending, and most of them didn't even have proper training to add the correct customs codes (harmonized codes for clearance). After a long call, 2 days later it finally cleared and now it is on its way to me.
  17. I know that it is not the sleek and elegant profile that we expect of a Kawamori creation, but looking at the above video and seeing all of the various things with it, it appears as if it were made for maximum playability and not design sketch accuracy. I could see playing the hell out of this thing, whooshing it around my living room and all of the diecast core parts will mean that I don't have to worry about it disintegrating like a popcorn fart in church. I am warily optimistic and will hopefully be able to secure one for myself, finances willing. Twich
  18. Did it say they weren’t including Mirya in this version? I did think it odd they left out Kamjin, but I don’t know if that’s really the reason since Plamax hasn’t had any problems and I don’t think hasegawa had any issues with the tv vf-1 kits
  19. They have been in stock in Nin nin for a few days. https://www.nin-nin-game.com/en/sentinel/154936-riobot-armored-genesis-mospeada-afc-01h-regios-eta-148-reissue-sentinel-.html They increaded the price from 29k Yen (preorder price) to almost 40K!
  20. No, I guess what they are going for is for when Hikaru and Misa were exploring Earth. Here is the product listing: http://www.hasegawa-model.co.jp/product/65896/ So Super parts = Minmay, bare-bones Valk = Misa. It says that it includes the Minmay figure so you can use it with the Super Ostrich. Here is a quick paste of the description in English, ran through Goolag Translate: The kit is composed of parts that allow you to choose between the Gerwalk Fighter and the Gerwalk. The prototypes for the three new plastic figures were created by Taro Mochikomi. Ichijo Hikaru (in ship's uniform) and Hayase Misa (in undersuit) can be placed in the cockpit. As a bonus part, it comes with Lynn Minmay (rear seat seat, wearing a simple space suit, with or without helmet), which can be used with the separately sold VT-1 Super Ostrich. The included display stand allows you to display it in a hovering position. A new plastic attachment for the Gerwalk Fighter is included. The package illustration is by Morishita Naochika.
  21. I definitely need this one
  22. I also ordered the Legios reissue from Nin Nin and mine was delivered on Wednesday. So they’re shipping them out.
  23. Awesome ! Shouldn't the VT come with the super boosters too.?
  24. Hi borgified - I remember reading about replacement parts for 1/60 Yamato/Arcadia VF-1 a long while ago. After I noticed my hinges (for swinging the out the arms to the sides) cracking badly and dropping an entire arm, I am thankful that I booked marked this thread. The link you posted is a ray of hope. Apart from getting the STL file, would you know what kinds of proven material do I use to print these pieces? Is there a "good" way to take apart and reassemble the joint with the least amount of damage as possible? I am very thankful for our community online. Finding Valkyrie toys let alone from finding ways to mod or fix them is scarce or has always been non-existent. Very Grateful - WS
  25. Ah OK. I have the Legioss and Tread on pre-order, but no news yet from the online store I bought from and my credit card has yet to be charged for them. I was hoping to pick up a second Legioss from a physical hobby store here, but zero sign of them.
  26. I'm guessing that the reasons why we aren't seeing figures of Kamjin for the Glaug or TOS Millia for this new Q-Rau is the result of the truce established between Big West and hissy-fit Harmony Gold. DYRL was proven in court to not belong to Harmony Gold's fraudulent claims to international licensing, so figures from the movie are fair game. I'm just guessing. I know the guy who helped broker the deal to between the two companies to help make Macross available internationally. The smoking gun is that he was following one court case and HG was passing off DYRL Valk designs as belonging to their TOS license, and that's how we finally claimed victory over HG. I should ask him if my hunch is correct.
