Given the total lack of online discourse, you may be the only one that watched Wonder Man, lol.- 1563 replies

Silver lining is, at 27k JPY msrp, this could realistically go down to as much as 13.5k JPY... good enough for a fighter mode only 1/60 model?

I can't wait for the renewal version!

Kind of off topic. This reminds me of the recent SMP announcement. That's Bandai's collector model kit line for classic mecha like brave series and sentai megazords, disguised as candy toys and packaged like retro DXs for nostalgia. While everyone has been begging for reprints, Bandai announced a spinoff line of smaller scale, monochrome, non combining, low parts seperation and articulation kits of some of the most requested zords. Everyone is as pissed as they are confused. JP comments even roasted it as industrial waste plastic lmao. Back on topic. Bandai could have used production capacity of that unwanted line to make the dozen new parts on a single runner to make the VF-17 look right, and they would lose less money from both product lines. SMP is also made with ABS in their China factories after all. Instead, they are hellbent on incurring ire from every fanbase possible lol. On a different note, I still don't quite understand what yamato did differently that let their elbow guns line up with the end of shoulder block in fighter, that allows it clearance to be tall enough to have space for two missile ports, that Bandai's 171 based proportions simply can't do nicely, even if they had made new molds for it.

I'm glad you posted. Searching "Macross VF-X2" revealed a site that allows you to play the game online for free: https://gam.onl/psx/macross-vf-x2.html#game -

I joined the forums to source some knowledge for the Macross VF-X2 project, so I made my pfp Suzie Newtlett from the game! I love Suzie, she's great. -
I was just using the Wave picks as a guide in the post above! But yes, don't understand why even in the new 1/24 STTC, Wave only gave you the parts to do Chirico & Murza's version. It can't be that expensive to add the other three weapons needed! but I'm good with the Bandai squad....

I got that set back when wave first put it out. I don’t think they ever rereleased the full set though. Was really cool to just get four turbo customs and little character figures for the team

Not addressing the rest of the critique, but we were shown in Prodigy that there are plenty of transwarp tunnels still out there, as well as Borg.

Sadly that killed off certain targeted tariffs and instead were replaced with more general tariffs to avoid the IEEPA ruling. But those at least must expire after 150 days.

Definitely. IMO, Kurtzman-era Star Trek's biggest creative stumbling block is that the paranoid grimdark world of the 32nd century is painfully underdeveloped. Star Trek: Discovery picked up and moved from the 23rd century to the 32nd on a whim to escape accusations/complaints that the series was messing with canon. They just never stopped to actually think out what the 32nd century should be besides "dystopian". They seemed to assume that Star Trek exists in the same kind of cultural and technological stasis as Star Wars and spared practically no thought for how the setting might evolve in 900 years or what the implications of the many technological advancements made in chronologically later Star Trek TV shows would have for their story's setting. The few acknowledgements of progress were to handwave why that progress disappeared. The grimdark could have been made to work if they'd actually thought it out properly, but they didn't. They wanted to make off-brand Star Wars. TBH, I don't think Jeri Ryan could carry a Star Trek series. Her character stood out in Picard because she was one of the only characters in the series who wasn't wallowing in depression and irrelevance or a vaguely racist stereotype. Her story is building on that same grimdark nonsense from Picard, and nobody wants more of that. Definitely. Many fans continually ask why Alex Kurtzman and Secret Hideout are still involved with the franchise when the vast majority of their output has been failures.

The dx 19 also sold terrible so it's not just the half-assery that's the problem.

Bandai Exec: How do we gently kill off the Mac 7 line withou a huge fan backlash? Evildoer: we'll release a half-assed VF-17 and say the poor sales killed off the line. Now we have more resources to make the 10837801298th gundam seed Astray *rage* Oh well, I'll ship my Vf-17 sometime within the next 6 months with some other stuff to save cash at HLJ since they scalp for shipping compared to other JP shops.

I hadn’t really thought of something fitting for Netflix, but Peacock already is a joke in itself and prime just kinda rolls off like a transformers joke and there’s a couple for Disney since they got DP, but I think D+ is already fitting since they have failed so much, yet still have a couple winners, so they get a barely passing grade.
