  1. Past hour
  2. I’m more a fan of the Studio Ox version, but this is a damn good photo and pose.
  3. I think it was a Yammie 1/60 YF-19 Double Nuts? I wonder where that name actually came from lol.
  4. DX YF-21's design's contentious yes.. but it does look much better when put together with the DX 19.
  5. I'm ok with fabric figures as long as they are executed nicely in looks. One downside of fabric is that it can be difficult to ascertain range of motion, since the joints are covered up. Sometimes the range doesn't do as much as you are used to with other figures, and something might break when trying to pose them. This unless the manufacturer inserts some instructions or illustration on how far the range of motion goes. I don't have any other fabric figures other than KC's, so not sure if other manufacturers do this.

    DX Chogokin VF-17S

Not quite ready to ship mine out yet.
  8. Perfect timing. Enjoy.
  9. Fantastic! Always enjoy your outdoor forced perspective pics.
  10. Thumbnails, yes. To be fair, even if posted as a thumbnail, the software is set to allow hosting of images. Personally, I'd sooner turn that off and force folks to host elsewhere then to impose size-restrictions in posts. Most board size restriction policies are carry overs on old boards where the mods are accommodating older members who have older PCs or phones and would deal with long load times. Paying for more space to a host seems something you'd want to address first. Yes, the downside is that older image posts from years would be killed if applied retroactively, but it should be able to be set from now going forward to stop the bleed. Just an opinion, of course.
  11. The M1 Air doesn't have Magsafe, that didn't come until the M2. The downgraded USB port is a bummer, but when I do hook it up to a display I wind up using a hub anyway, so while it's one aspect that really is a downgrade it's one that really won't affect me personally. I'd say the Neo is a capable computer for the price, and probably good enough for most people and a great starting point for people looking to make the switch to MacOS. If you're using an M1 it is, like I said, a modest but inexpensive upgrade, for the most part. If you need more power, or your running an M2 or newer, though, you should be looking at an M4 or M5 Air, likely.
  12. Good news, gentlemen. I've been in contact with Jose in Argentina, and he's agreed to make some upgrades and corrections for this release. There was a missing shock absorber that's now been added, and the seat back is now properly curved. I'll also be adding a fuel cap. 😇
  13. Thanks for the info, I actually wish they didn’t do fabric at all, but sometimes you take what you can get. There really aren’t any new offerings from the show unfortunately and I’ve always been a fan of the armor that they wear. The mecha was ok, but the character armor is absolutely amazing to me. I often still look back fondly at the painted art pictures for them.
  14. I don't know much about forum software, but I thought there was options that automatically resize images to a smaller size when you upload them?
  15. X-Transbots' Monolith ("youth" version). I've had him for ages, just never got around to photographing him.
  16. You're a prince among men, Mike. I've retroactively decided to buy both Legacy Animated Optimus (through eBay, since it would cost me nearly twice as much to buy one in Japan) and the original DK-54 (through Ali Express, since it would cost me nearly twice as much to buy one in Japan). I don't know why I'm so tempted now, since I had no interest in either two years ago... 🤔
  17. The Air has two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports and a Magsafe power connector. The Neo has 2 USB-C ports but 1 is USB3 and the other port is USB2. The A18 Pro USB controller is a USB 3.2 Gen2/10 Gbps so if you connect that to a 4k-60hz monitor and leave the screen open on the laptop, there isn't THAT much bandwidth left so I'm not sure what people were expecting. Time to digest more of this DLSS 5 content...
  18. The thigh armors do feel like they're just lightly glued to the fabric and the skirt is just a floating piece. Can't really handle/pose these 2 like I would a SHF or even a Figma cuz the fabric might permanently be stretched or even tear. I also discovered that these KC figures don't have much, if any, ankle pivot, so no wide A-stances. Thought of keeping them in the box but feared that the white fabric might eventually get yellow storage stains. Still looks great on display and I like them cuz they got the face/headsculpt right, unlike the earlier ones with dopey faces. I was hoping they would redo Misa and Minmay, and make a Milia as Advanced figures but I guess KC is currently too busy making ugly-faced Zentradi figures. I find myself quite enamored by the animation, the character designs, most characters' personalities and their subsequent fleshing out and development that I can endure the slow pace of the storytelling. Plus I like pretty female elves (still kicking myself for not getting the PUP Ryuu Lion figure).
  19. Another stop at Wally World, and another Micro Galaxy purchase. This time it's the Razor Crest from the upcoming move. Nice little toy. You get a removable side and top, a side door and rear ramp, opening canopy and deployable gear. Also have Djin and Grogu, though Grogu falls easy off of his back, has no clear place to put him inside, and when putting Djin in the pilot seat, he sits like he's drunk. He'll need to be glued in. All in all, I nice little 'model' that could easily take some extra detailing, and at a nice size. Far bigger than the Bandai model and far smaller than the Round2/Revel kits, so it'll be easier and nicer to display. Nice.
  20. Got my MacBook Neo today. I have no idea how newer MacBooks are, but I can compare to an M1 Air. Some first impressions: Keyboard is fine, I guess. Definitely feels like the keys are a bit more rattle-y or require less force to actuate than the Air. Don't really care too much about the loss of the backlit keys, since I'm a touch typist anyway. Screen's ever so slightly smaller, but noticeably brighter. I never noticed that the trackpad on the M1 Air doesn't actually physically click. It does on the Neo. It's not necessarily a bad feeling, just different. I love the new colors. I got the Citrus one. Beats the heck out of the boring silver. I know a lot of people are complaining about the lack of ports... do newer MacBooks have more? There's two USB-C on the left, same as the M1 Air. There's also a headphone jack near the front on the same side. The Air has one on the opposite side. So I/O is the same for me. The form factor is slightly different. Again, I don't know how newer Airs are, but my M1 is thickest near the rear and tapers toward the front. The Neo retains the same thickness throughout. The shape actually reminds me of an old MacBook I had like 20 years ago, the one with the Intel Core 2 Duo. It's obviously much thinner than that MacBook, but it makes the Air seem thinner. My subjective feelings on the performance are still up-in-the-air. The M1 with 8GB of RAM was already enough for most of the stuff I used a Mac for. On paper the A18 Pro should be an upgrade over the M1, if not a huge one.
