  2. I mean, it would make sense. But they are pretty slow on 1/48 releases. The last VF-1 boxing variation was released in November 2022 I think. I don't think I've seen many custom VF-1Ds in either fighter or battroid mode. Got anything you can share? While 1/48 VF-1D seems like the easiest thing to pop out next, I'm still also hoping for 1/48 YF-21, especially after it was featured in the box art for the 1/48 YF-19 with fast packs. But I'm not too hard to please, I'd also be cool with 1/48 marking variations for Minmay Guard or Minmay Special.
  3. I'm sure I'm sounding like a broken record, but I'm still hoping for a 1/48 VF-1D fighter from Hasegawa. I really like the unique 2-seater cockpit and want to build some of the repurposed VF-1Ds depicted in the Master Files books, like the SVF-37 in a subdued gray scheme with missile loadout.
  4. Maybe I’m being cynical, but I figured they realized they have all the parts already - VT-1 body, fighter arms, and Gerwalk arms and legs - so all they needed for this kit is the artwork and figures. They can create a new model from a key part of the movie with minimal investment in new tooling. I pre-ordered one primarily because of the figures. On my long list of diorama ideas (most of which I’ll probably never get to) is a flight line scene on Earth with a small crowd of pilots and ground crew gathered around a shiny new VT-1 (in fighter mode without FAST packs), sitting beside two older VF-1Ds. I want to depict the arrival of the new trainer variant alongside the old version.
  5. Yeah. I've seen some Gundam Master Grade box arts where different boxes combine to make a larger scene. Pretty cool.
  6. Today
  7. Ooh, that would have been such a great thing to do!
  8. Looking good @derex3592. And a real nice bit of Macross @Cheese3.
  9. NGL, kinda with you on that one. "In-story documentary" type episodes are a hard sell even when they're well done. That one was definitely not.
  10. Here we go again. Episode 7 put me to sleep. I hate documentary type episodes. Not Just Trek but any show period. This show seems to be getting worse. I
  11. Personally, I’ve always loved the tv version more and couldn’t wait for this one. I only bought the M&M versions and skipped the standard purple, mostly cause I don’t really like purple, so this will be my third. Although I’ve been tempted on the purple one because I love that box art and would love to turn it into a sorta wall poster
  12. If it is priced right, I am gonna have to buy one lol
  13. Not black is tough. Gotta go dark, but not too dark and then shading is rough cause it can just disappear and then lighter highlights can look too light and then certain weathering products turn darker with top coat. Good luck and I’m sure you’ll get a great looking kit done as long as you take care and definitely take a little time to test things out.
  14. Two thoughts on this: If you think about it, the Enterprise must be pretty darn close to the heart of the Federation in this episode. The Federation has never really been that huge, truth be told. They repeatedly disparage Spock for being half-Human and thus "not a real Vulcan", disparage the Human crew of the Enterprise for being Human, and present themselves as being inherently superior because they are Vulcan. All textbook racist behaviors. Just substitute any two real world ethnic groups in there in place of "Vulcan" and "Human" and you'll see what I mean. Batel literally calls Pasalk out at length for showing clear racial bias towards Vulcans and publicly disparaging non-Vulcans and treating Pike completely differently once he passes for Vulcan. Spock himself points out at the end of the episode that the crew's treatment of him reminded him pointedly of the bigotry he faced at home for being "only" half-Vulcan. And yeah, they try to justify their bigotry with "logic" the same way that people on Earth tried and still try to justify racism with misleading or misrepresented statistics and various flavors of pseudoscience like phrenology, but that doesn't make it not racist. Where the episode veers into bullsh*t territory is that the Enterprise crew, who were Humans mere seconds earlier and clearly remember being Human, immediately behave like they have been Vulcans their entire lives and grew up immersed in Vulcan culture and cultural biases as though these things were all programmed into Vulcans at the genetic level. That is, put simply, insane and nonsensical. Especially considering Pike and Chapel and La'an have all at one time or another come to Spock's defense when he faced bigotry for being a half-Vulcan in the past. The whole plot of this episode is pants-on-head stupid.
  15. Studio Series Voyager Alpha Trion incoming...
  16. The ultimate VF-1 set. If I was to only have 1 VF-1 toy, this would be the one to have. Funny thing is I don't have one and I like Roy's color way better but there is no better all-around package than this one. I just settle with having hundreds of other Valks instead for now.😅
  17. I did pre-order both the TV Rau and the VT-1 Gerwalk. Originally I had thought to order 2 of the VT-1 if it can be built 2 ways... but if it's just full gerwalk with arms out or half gerwalk with arms tucked, I think I can just stick with 1 copy. I'm not super enthused about green TV Rau since this would be my 4th Rau kit... but I do like the TV head better. I'm actually much more interested in the VT-1 gerwalk. Nice to see them expanding the gerwalk range. Lack of super parts on it kinda makes me think they won't be doing a VE-1 gerwalk, which is a shame. I know the back parts and head are different, but don't they use the same leg armor? Also, since this is modeled on a specific scene in the movie, and we never see the VE-1 transform in the movie, that also makes me think a gerwalk VE-1 is unlikely. Also: gerwalk VT-1 before VF-1D battroid. 🤪 Really hope they fill this gap in their battroid lineup after the plamax VF-1D battroid is no longer shiny and new. I'm a little surprised they're doing this gerwalk before expanding on the gerwalk VF-0 series... I hope the vf-0s w/ ghost sold well enough to guarantee more gerwalk VF-0 options. Would love a gerwalk VF-0D or VF-0A!
  18. One of the Macross Option Decal sets from Hasegawa had markings for a nice alternate Super Ostrich scheme. Granted, those decal sets are hard to get now. I think it was an overall creamy beige scheme with some unique squadron markings. Probably originated in Model Graphix?
  19. $116 USD, April-June 2026
  20. Ironically, she and deluxe Alpha Trion, who I picked up at Target on impulse, are the only two TFOne toys that I intend to get thus far. Elita One was the only TFOne fig that I purposely ordered b/c I liked the look of the design enough to plunk a few ducats down. A3 was a little disappointing in his beast form, but I like the bot mode. For all these beast moded figs that use the back legs , at least from the knee down, to form the rear legs of the creature, I wish they'd add an additional joint that places the back leg to the animal's side allowing for complete 360 rotation of the hind quarter instead of just keeping them awkwardly in line with the rest of the robot leg. As for Elita, I think the level of engineering is fine given the size of her alt mode and the fact that she's on a deluxe budget. Could she be better, sure, but not unless they reinvent her on a higher budget with more complexity.
  21. I don't want to spoil anything, but the end of 28 Years Later has a rather strange twist featuring a very odd group of survivors modeled after a certain former British DJ and performer that ended up being a massive child predator and sex offender, it's weird.
  22. Diggin the wild color schemes.
  23. Oh yeah!!!! Looking good
  24. Oof. Wonder how much. Edit* Just saw this for USA
  25. Started knocking back the pre-shading on the Cat's Eye 👁️‍🗨️ and the Blackbird on Monday. I'm determined to make the SR-71 not just look BLACK... but like they do in reality...which isn't easy.
  26. I see hlj will be offering unlimited storage in their private warehouse "for a fee" after October. I hope shipping becomes an option by then , I need my Hasegawa deculture!
