Quite sure Bandai is going with a low volume run after some slow sales, especially with the last 31 release. They are probably trying to justify rehashing the rest of the 31 line to themselves by stacking the conditions. High demand, formerly limited, low volume production, fodder army builder, and anniversary marketing, all look like the makings of an instant sell out sales report lol

I hope it does happen, but I think it’s gonna be beyond my lifetime

Impeesa started following Bandai DX VF-31
-
Strange, I was about to bump this myself a few days ago to ask about something. I just picked up and unboxed Arad's VF-31S recently, and the left wingtip doesn't click into place so it droops a little instead. Was this ever a known issue and is there any sort of fix? I saw like one post deep back in the thread from when it was newish from someone who seemed to have the same problem, but not much else. Anyway, I got it because I just finished convincing myself that based on the timing since the Hayate Revival (and the unfinished Super parts for the original run), Bandai wasn't going to do Revivals of the rest of Delta Flight any time soon. Picked up the last couple I didn't have, and even some extra Super parts to try my hand at customs eventually. And of course, that meant it was even more unlikely that they were going to reissue the 31A any time soon, may as well bite the bullet and grab that too. 34k for a B-grade at Amiami doesn't hurt too bad compared to the reissue price, but still. Anyway, all that to say, now I wouldn't be surprised at all to see all four remaining Revival bundles with supers in the near future. You're welcome, everyone.

Not much time this day as finishing up other project before winter hits. Visiting the backlog and pulled out on a whim. Feels good to finally be making progress on this old gal.

One for robot mode and one for fighter, pretty cool. Too bad it not just both types though, but still a cool deal

I've never seen a general retail release sell out on pre-orders like this, especially with the current tariff situation. I know the VF-31A was highly sought after when it first came out but I thought the demand would of have gone down by now going by the availability I see all the time on Mandarake. I wonder if the shops just didn't list that many as their stock in the first place?

Thanks for the link. That’s a great deal. 👍

Thanks for the responses. I’m a bit more old school and love the og stuff most and really haven’t read up on stuff beyond that.

The Protodeviln? They aren't, as far as we know. Probably never have been, in the direct sense. It's a fairly safe bet that the mind control tech the Protodeviln used on the Varauta forces is the same stuff they used for the Supervision Army, and the way it's described in-series and in supplemental materials it's basically Hollywood hypnosis. They drain a person's spiritia to weaken their mental defenses and then equip them with a sonic device that emits special sound waves to keep them in a sort of hypnotic trance so they're suggestible enough to follow orders. The only people the Protodeviln have really controlled in a direct sense are the people they possess in Macross 7 like Gepernich, Gigile, or (occasionally) Sivil.

I was really wondering how they are able to continue to control new recruits due to their long absence?

To be honest, I think the BFG there kinda overshadows the overall design. Maybe if it were at least a different color or something. The base design looks very elegant though

From what I understand, the offer in the Goosmile shop gives you two full kits, so that's a pretty good price: https://www.goodsmileus.com/collections/blassty

In the art, the elbows are always covered. The only reason they ever end up at the side is when the whole arm is turned to where the elbow faces outward. Even the line art shows the arms turned outward. I’m hoping that’s the case, cause none of the toy pics or early reviews showed otherwise that I’ve seen. Not many reviews seem to exist yet unfortunately

Just finished watching it. Not what I expected. Was good. Gave me the same vibes as Willow or Beastmaster. It was enjoyable, but didn't do anything for me to be a theater-level experience.

They would have to be. The war between the Zentradi and the Supervision Army has been going on for 500,000 years. The captured and brainwashed Protoculture civilians and Zentradi soldiers who made up the original generation of Supervision Army soldiers are no more immune to injury or to the ravages of time than a Human. Given that the Protodeviln and their Supervision Army drove the Protoculture to the brink of extinction in a few short years, there would be only one way for the Supervision Army to feasibly sustain itself long-term: using the existing factory satellite infrastructure in the territory they controlled to create fresh clone soldiers, mobile weapons, and ships for their cause. Ultimately, the Zentradi and Supervision Army are two inexhaustible armies of Zentradi clones locked in a Forever War with each other because their last orders were to "destroy the enemy" and anyone capable of ordering them to stop died or disappeared half a million years ago. They didn't really ditch the Supervision Army. They were defeated, captured, and turned into Sealed Evil in a Can by the Protoculture's Anima Spiritia. They remained sealed for 500,000 years until Humanity colonized the Varauta system and started poking around in the Protoculture ruins on one of the other planets in the system, where the Protodeviln happened to have been sealed. They accidentally let the Protodeviln out, causing the events of Macross 7. Of course, since the Protodeviln were simply the Supervision Army's top-level commanders rather than being some kind of puppeteer parasite controlling those people directly, their defeat and sealing did nothing to actually stop the Supervision Army. Their brainwashed troops just kept right on fighting according to their last orders.

It’s paint day so finally get my lazy butt cleaning out the spray booth and laying down some fresh paper. No more dust. Fingers crossed.

Thanks for the insight. I’m a sucker for the BFG’s hence my obsession with FSS. I am still looking for a fair priced Blassty kit like the fantastic build you had posted awhile back. Yet again, another series I had never heard of. Lol

Q1 2026->Q3 2026. 2GB chip demand are are eating resources for 3GB chips causing shortages for 3GB chips, driving up demand for 2GB chips, increasing the cost of 2GB chips. All because of AI demand. 🙄🤦♂️ -
Apparently, it's from a game franchise called Iron Saga, but illustrations are sparse, and I don't know who designed it. I also only found one modeler who finished a painted kit. The Deer Stalker is about the size of a MG kit, and the BFG is included.
