    I really don't think a VF-22 from that YF-21 would be any better and don't think it would have been better received. That mold is another dud. Bandai is now in the unfortunate space of having a license with only one good mold of four potential toys, making a VF-11 toy less likely. Still, Bandai has ignored fan sentiment and plowed forward in the past so... Fingers crossed?

    what gets me is the same effort that went into making a new head sculpt and nose could have gone into new wings and head for the VF-19S or the VF-22 that would have been better than this abomination of a VF-17S. Hopefully they do a parts former 1/100 VF-17 as the team working on those has been solid

    Yeah, absolutely not on my bingo card. I kinda want one, but the problem here is Bandai not having a clue about how US markings work, so it's even more obvious how bad they are at research. Stars on both wings? No NAVY on the legs? It's not terrible by any means, but I'd be much more interested if they showed the minimal interest in the subject to get those sorts of details right, especially when the Macross franchise as a whole already nails those sorts of details, and even Bandai has gotten them right on most of their other releases. Not to be too much of a stick in the mud, but boy Bandai's lack of giving a crap grinds my gears. Still would be funny to have one or two, and display one on my desk at work to see the funny looks it gets. I'd just have to do a fair bit of marking edits to get it where I wanted. Edit: So I actually was only half right, the movie plane used a more non-standard marking scheme than I realized, and didn't actually have the standard NAVY print on the lower rear fuselage. The double stars on the wings is still totally on Bandai though.

    Small, and I do mean small USS Texas update...all parts either flat or clear coated as need be, getting close to final steps. Bunch of tiny fiddly parts added to the deck and got this little guy painted up and installed on the launch catapult. Pretty happy with how it came out! More updates this weekend hopefully if work doesn't interfere

    it's on YouTube for people who don't want to watch on X. Part of me is like... cool. The other part if me thinks it's too similar to the VF-25F WWW release we already got. That said I will still get one because it's the first official Valk ever with Team 'Murica badges
