  2. Even so, blaming the president of the studio for a lack of leadership on the part of the lead producer, writer(s), and director(s) is a bit like blaming the CEO of a restaurant for a line cook getting your order wrong or blaming "Can you hear me now?" guy for a cell phone network outage. 🙃 Kathleen Kennedy was just a convenient blame figure for the fandom's culture warriors because she was a woman in authority and they're sexist AF, and because her position as the studio's president made her highly visible as the company's de facto head cheerleader responsible for all manner of promotional work. Give it time. Those reserves of goodwill will only last so long... especially if he continues trying to turn Star Wars into Star Wars: a Clone Wars Story. The man genuinely cannot let go of a 20 year old cartoon and he's rapidly running out of ideas. If Ahsoka is anything, it's a desperate plea for help and a sign that the well is running dry.
  3. Haha. So true! Sit back and watch the implosions. I don't see Dave being blamed as he's generated too much good to the fandom. But I'm sure there are some unfortunate writers that will be dragged through the coals.
  4. 14 in so far. Will we hit the MOQ to proceed in time?
  5. Today
  6. Well, today was a productive day. 😁 Kitbashing random decals to enhance detail is my favorite part of this process, and the most creatively fulfilling. I look for shapes and colors that complement the topography of the model, and apply the waterslides wherever it seems appropriate. Sometimes I find decals that suit the model so well, you'd think they were designed for it! In this particular case, I'm trying to match the decals I used on the Biopsycher a couple years ago: However, trying to source more of the Bandai decal sheets I'd used in 2023 has suddenly become prohibitively expensive, as they now command at least TEN times what they'd cost only a couple years ago...! Frankly, I'd rather just make do with whatever I have left over from those days. The secondary market is nuts, man. 😒 ...or even a completed F-14, with little assembly required...? 😎 Who doesn't love the Tomcat? 😍
  7. And, done (at least for now). Greebles and gear are added, made a few more tweaks to the nose to round it out a bit, and I think I'm good. Didn't add the Walkure logos because I'm not planning to use it as their personal shuttle, just generic background, but easy enough to add if it ever comes to that. I think I will circle back at some point to cut in the rear hatch and interior details, but it's not necessary for what I'm working on at the moment, and I this is pretty close for the moment. I know, it's not an exciting model, but I'm happy with how it came out and how quickly I could get it put together. I want to try it in a rendered environment hopefully this weekend, but we'll see how things go. Upwards and onwards!
  8. You take old kits @pengbuzz, and lift them up to a whole new level!
  9. She may not have been heavily involved creatively but at least some of the mess was caused by not enough control from the top in regards to the sequel trilogy. Normally it is too much control but in this case they had two directors purposely contradicting each other.
  10. Five to ten years? More like five to ten months... ...and, if we include third-party seekers, a new mold gets rolled out every five to ten weeks. 😅
  11. Unless the announcement has been changed there are no planned changes to RotR. Other areas of the land will receive a slight naming change and OT characters will be walking around. I do hope that Rise of the Resistance is rebranded to Rise of the Rebellion one day. As for this coming to DW, I just saw Mando and Grogu walking around the Hollywood Studios Star Wars land and they were only originally announced for Disney Land as well. This is something Disney can't afford to not have at their biggest park.
  12. This mold is geared for fans of the Uber toon look as opposed to the greebled look espoused by Generations/Legacy. Ultimately, if it doesn't appeal, pass on it, as they'll undoubtedly roll out a new mold in 5-10 years.
  13. I'm a far more recent Mospeada fan, and no where near as ardent as you, but I've been a big fan of the Legioss/Alpha since the 80s so I feel ya. After a long drought, we're now drinking our fill of Mospeada goodness.
  14. Maybe the Red Legioss from Toyrise could be a bomber variant this time.
  15. I saw some of reviews on You Tube , really not bad but why should purchase another seeker, I am already disappointed with my coronation Starscream.
  16. Yes its AI, the real trailer could be by end of the year.
  17. I don't post here much but I've been a member since the old days. All this reminiscing about watching Robotech is nice to see. Robotech was appointment TV for me. I was always so excited when New generation started and sad when it would end. My Gakken Alpha and Cyclone toys never left my side. They never left my side and I still own them to this day. Mospeada is my favorite anime of all time. I love the Omega design. Not feeling the green one, but I don't care. I'm all in on this line. I can't wait to dog fight with my 6 year old son. I guarantee he's gonna think the lance and shield are cool and we are going to have so much fun playing with these. I also am bursting with excitement for the tread when mine finally arrives. The pose + has me over the moon. What a fantastic time for Mospeada fans!
  18. JIS

    DX Chogokin VF-17S

The problem is that the last show we had was Delta 10 years ago and it wasn't a huge success either. But in the end I agree. I would add the VF-25 Revival was also a disappointment given it lacked the Max's YF-29 tampo and improvements.
  19. Wake me when Mario takes on Gannondork using Kirby and Pac-Man...
  20. On another note this model from Liberty Planet Alliance Army, 13th Fleet Flagship Huberion gives me the FATTY vibe.... wonder why? 🤣
  21. I have a similar, though slightly different issue: most times, the only kits I can afford are the older, more inaccurate ones (example: my version of the TOS Galactica). The challenge then becomes: how close can I get mine to the newest ones in terms of accuracy and detail. Most times I fall short, but I take it as a challenge to see if I can do with my materials what they did with theirs. Did this with CVAN-65, my 1/537 Refit Enterprise and my Ertl X-wing (1/43). Stuff needs hydraulic lines? Paper clips! I have a cockpit that needs better controls? Stretch some sprue and use my xacto knife to make buttons, then sand down the surfaces and spend 20 hours gluing buttons in place no one will see! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA(cough, sputter, wheeze!!!). Sorry...where was I? O.o
  22. Wave is releasing a new version of the 1/35 ATM-09-WR Marshydog (PS version) from the Kumman arc. The "ATM-09-WR Marshydog (PS version)" plastic model from "Armored Trooper Votoms" is here! It includes an expanded float! The highly popular "ATM-09-WR Marshydog (ST version)" is now available in a PS version, which recreates the interior of the cockpit and landing mechanism. As with previous kits, the kit is a snap-fit type that does not require glue, and each joint is movable. The cables connecting the mission pack to the legs are made of soft resin, allowing for a variety of poses to be effortlessly created. The PS version also comes with the deployed "float" parts that are a feature of the "ATM-09-WR Marshydog." I'm pretty sure that Bandai will release this version in the Hi-Metal R line next year since the are also starting the Kumman arc.
