So it still plays like a bad dream where you are stuck in mud and can't turn at any normal speed to save your life Such great potential and then they absolutely dropped the ball Here is your game review from 2001 lol https://www.macrossworld.com/macross/news/_news_n035.htm

This sort of reminds me of the time when toy companies will reuse character molds for other franchises, with bizarre results. Probably the most egregious for us is how Matchbox took the He-Man head and repurpose it into Minmei - really as wrong as it can get lol.

No, the protruding cab is definitely the biggest offender. Mostly because your issue simply... isn't. I dunno if that's a bad photoshop on the part of some poor Hasbro intern or just a really bad angle of the storage door partly open there, but properly closed that perceived bump just isn't there. Properly closed, it looks like this (Kingdom in the middle):- 17839 replies

Yeah, that would solve a lot of problems right there. Were you referring to this eyesore? 'Cause that looks like the biggest offender to me. 🤨- 17839 replies

Excuse my VERY poor photo manipulation skills. Move the rear of the car part up, to partially cover the canopy and move the wing forward. Ideally, by having hinges that move them forward on the car itself, but by making it part of the trailer instead like the MP version. Then, like I said, ditch the effects parts and their storage cubby so the car can sit in deeper. EDIT: To be totally clear, I'm not against a new Rodimus mold that's just better and more accurate all around. I'm just saying that they were a few doable tweaks from getting a lot closer the first time.- 17839 replies

Looking fantastic, is this for the Toynami Alphas or for the old GAKKEN Legioss? Now, we need to see some hands.

It's not just the gunpod stowage that is so very, very wrong. The shape and panel lines/detailing of the legs and backplate are totally, completely wrong according to the VF-17 full detail lineart. The head cowl an is also incorrect as are shoulders with their lack of twin Micro-missile launchers. Being a huge Macross 7 fan since 1994 and given that the VF-17D/S is one of my all-time favorite VFs, it really annoys me that Bandai has cheaped out so much on the DX VF-17S. Frankly, it also sets a bad precedent for future DX releases.

Yeah, but at least Freyja spent notable time in a valk with Hayate on-screen. Makina and Mirage is like "on paper only".

I'd imagine it'd be a pretty easy fix, honestly. Ditch the effects parts, then replace the storage for them with more room under the trailer for the cab to sit deeper inside. If they insist on the cab having a separate car mode, make the wing part of the trailer so it comes down on the right spot on the car's roof.- 17839 replies

Seeing MMC’s Onslaught always makes me twitch. Such a shame it wasn’t better. The only thing that I would improve with the limb bot would be the ability for Blast-Off’s toes to rotate so it doesn’t is so apparent that the ankle tilt is almost nonexistent. Oh well, at some point FansToys will do Bruticus. I will wait a little bit longer for a good Masterpiece Onslaught.- 9386 replies

PWAs are cool as an SF fan because they're kind of a realish way to justify desktop or ruggedized particle accelerators that don't need a crazy amount of length to get a particle beam moving. From what I understand though this means a more divergent beam coming out, I guess it's something to do with the instabilities in a plasma field. I hesitate to even speculate, it is way out of my wheelhouse. But the idea of a desktop particle beam to transmute things on demand is cool on its own. And the opportunities for storytelling...
