The white missile blocks on the outside of the legs are massive and hangs down in fighter mode. Chest piece as well. The fins are as small as some people's hands, proportionally to the massive nose. The wings are super thick to accommodate all the opening panels and internal detail. For the price they're charging this is inexcusable. Definitely optimized for soldier, as jenius says, and therefore not for me.

The center white chest part underneath is also hanging way too low. Definitely optimized for soldier mode.

CHALLENGE ACCEPTED.

Maybe they didnβt push the arm boosters down all the way. But they couldnβt make the tailfins bigger? Especially at this larger scale? Nose looks a little thick too.

Of course, scratch-building the whole thing would probably be easier. π

No, masking tape. As in remove all the areas with the gridwork, replace them with sheets of masking tape, draw the gridwork back on and light it from within.

Oh man, that YouTube video isn't doing Pose+ any favors. The fighter mode looks positively awful. π€’ Still works for me... although PayPal is no longer an option on the site. π Maybe I can find a viable alternative... π€

Not masking tape... reflective tape. π It might be a viable alternative to painting the vintage POS. π

Careful there Tekkering... you don't know the power of masking tape.

I suppose I should have said "completed" model, or, basically, "toy". My hands saw their last model kit some time ago. π

Thanks. This kit goes together super easy. Only a few seams to deal with and all of those are cleverly hidden which helps. Same here. I missed it during the initial run and am so happy to snag the reissue. π

I think they're active if there are new preorders and Tony answered for my emails. But idk if i can 100% trust them. I can only hope cause i have no other options

Last I heard (in February), Round2 was going to reissue all of the kits from the movie, including the missing section for the Cygnus itself. CultMan has pre-Pre-Order pages up (that so far still say Not Available...) I take it with all of its flaws and just enjoy! In fact, as I was watching, I was thinking to myself how well the character interactions were...

Is Robotoybase still active? I tried to reactivate my old Chimungmung (?!?!) account and tried to create a new one but nothing worked.

Itβs almost an RBF. Or maybe just smug as in, βmy [censored: decency] donβt stink.β Iβve honestly never looked all that closely at their faces before now.

Thanks, itβs an outstanding model from everything Iβve seen. I may build it as a cannon fodder squad leader as part of an eventual Macross City battle scene diorama. Papa Rat, your model looks perfect! Looks like the VF-1D battroid reissue just arrived. HLJ charged me this morning for the one that I ordered a few months ago.

Now Rouge is scheduled for September. While I gladly buy more 90s Mafex X-Men I just want to finish my X-Men collection with Rogue. I wonder what is taking them so long?

I think if anything, Yellow is the one most in need of a new face scupt.

No argument there. I imagine the design team were aghast with every decision the factory engineers in China made. Oh, I'd forgotten I'd even done that. π And I keep telling you guys, it's "Brough," not "Blow." The Brough Superior is well-known to motorcycle enthusiasts the world over, including Shinji Aramaki. That's why his VR-041 is called the "Brough Superior" in Mospeada. The marketing team at Tatsunoko didn't know "Fuke" from "Houquet," "Lei" from "Ray," or "Brough" from "blow," and more importantly, they DIDN'T CARE. Imai, Arii, LS et.al used the English alphabet simply because Japanese pop culture thinks it's cool. None of these companies had any concern for the Western market, because it simply didn't exist back then. Four decades on, we know better. There's no excuse for Sentinel to still be using "Blowsperior." π Apologies for the pendantic rant; I'm an English teacher in Japan. π£

IIRC it also misses a complete midship section, so you have to buy two kits to fix this.

Maybe I can be of further assistance. Drop me a DM and we can discuss options. The Black Hole? What a glorious disaster that film was. π Incredible miniature photography, awe-inspiring production design, a deeply haunting score, and some jaw-dropping visual effects... π― ...along with some miserably poor dialogue, a cartoonish disregard for science, and some truly awful compositing. π Be careful what you wish for... MPC's kit was over-simplified, proportionally-inaccurate, and entirely molded in solid grey. Just try lighting that one, bitches! π

I totally forgot Evolution Toys ever made the Legioss lol. It's just so out of mind that I almost swore there isn't any until @tekering's pics above.
