Toy Story had a great finale with Toy Story 3. 4 was forced and unnecessary. I'm pretty sure this will be the same

TS4 was the perfect ending. I loved it. And doesn't Allen not want to do these anymore..?

I liked TS4 more then TS3 myself, I thought it was a better story too with Woody having to deal with not being the favorite (or even cared about) any longer.  I've not heard that Allen didn't want to do them any longer, more along the lines of "if it is over then OK".

It's all about the $$$$ and the story, if the story is decent but the $$$$ is good, you'd be dumb not to do it. If the story is ass but the $$$$ is good, you do it and not care. If the story is awesome but the $$$$ is bad, you do it for the residuals.

Umm, how the hell does Woody reunite with Buzz and the gang when they basically parted ways at the end of 4?

Life go horribly wrong for Andy, he tries to capture some of that childhood magic, and then becomes a miserable toy collector?

This is what I remember too, I take it they retcon that ship ASAP, to which, meh, that ending was perfect, but money.

When does this thing take place, I don’t think any kid would be excited by a lillypad  these days. I remember they were popular for kids 20 years ago but haven’t seen one since

And didn’t that Christmas Toy Story short sorta already cover this ground (but with the latest video game system, instead of the iPad stand-in)?

That’s what I was thinking at first when I made the comment, but then while taking a💩the thought occurred to me that I don’t even really know when Toy Story takes place. He’s watching old school puppet shows as a kid and has that woody toy. But the there’s a plastic Mr potato head, so that doesn’t fit with the old school. And then there are toy resembling he man parts.  
I guess I don’t know if the kid grew up with old school hand me downs and really loved reruns or what. Does Toy Story take place in the 60’s or 90’s?  Does the kid getting the Lilly pad exist or n the early 2000’s or is the kid just getting left over bargain junk now?
