ChaoticYeti
You guys have it right. I made it by request.
derex3592
I believe I was one of the early ones that suggested Yeti make these, I like to see the gun barrels poking through! The work and look great!

Saburo
Here are the shots from 2015 I had sent yeti when using the factory adapter with yetistand and a super/strike VF-1.
Lolicon
Any chance of there being an improved VF-17 adapter? The Yamato adapter is ridiculously far forward from the center of weight.
ChaoticYeti
I will look again. As I recall, the belly of the 17 is pretty flush.
ChaoticYeti
Yeah, pretty flush. I might be able to get something around the legs. I'll let you know.

Lolicon
Holy sh**! That is amazing! Looks way better than the Yamato adapter!
ChaoticYeti
I often scratch my head at the terrible placement they come up with.
Xigfrid
Hey ChaoticYeti, I am having trouble securing the VF-0 stand adapter. It seems to not hold securely on the "shoulder" portions. Can you post a picture of a VF-0 belly with the adapter mounted ?
ChaoticYeti
Don't mind the duo-tone adapter. I keep the flunkies, and this batch ran out of black filament towards the end.
Xigfrid
Thank you! I was half tightening the arms, that was why the adapter was going loose. I put back the 0D on the stand ... man this bird is so imposing and beautiful!
derex3592
Liking the 17 adapter!!!
ChaoticYeti
Thanks! I am going to look at again later this week. Should be up on the webstore within the near future.
ChaoticYeti
Pretty neat having them on a stand together. Man, the 171 has a fiddly transformation. Now I remember why I had left it in battroid .
Lolicon
Damn now you're making me want to rearrange my current setup so my 17 and 171 are on the same stand. Or maybe I'll finally pick up a 17D...
AndrewB
Wanted to say that I have a few of these now, and they have worked well for both 1/60 and 1/48 VF-1 toys. You just have to pay attention to the center of mass on the big 1/48s.

ChaoticYeti
Itching to use the CODE... But the Alpha stand is sold out. Any idea on when more will become available? They are currently sold out, and I am trying really hard to NOT order more from the vendor. I am expecting my laser cutter to arrive in late December. There have always been issues with the thicker 9mm acrylic cut from my vendor. Quite a bit of wasted product, and I end up paying for most of it. Might I ask what you would like to display on a YetiStand? The Beta's work quite well, and I have those in stock.

Eslim109
Maybe Yeti can extend his holiday promotion code so that we can use it when more Alphas come in stock after he gets his equipment in Dec?

Looking to do this identical base setup(see below) Except with 1 Arcadia VF and two Bandai DXs. following that recipe with the elbows and the arms. Dont think this would work on the Beta as the connection point for that is offset, kinda wanting the center mounted look as well. ChaoticYeti
I apologize for any inconvenience, but even if you waited until after the sale it will be worth it to get Alpha's cut by me vs me ordering more now. That image you posted with the valks you are wanting to display makes sense for an Alpha.
ayaxr
Yeah a bit bummed, with all the extra bits and pieces I'm planning to get the 20% off is substantial.BTW thanks for making the MG Gundam adapter available. ChaoticYeti
I received an email this morning stating the laser cutter will be delayed another 6 months. This is the third such delay. I have canceled my order with glowforge. I am looking into alternatives. I will look into ordering another batch of Alpha's.
mickyg
Bummer, man. I totally understand though. Any word on why such delays?
ChaoticYeti
Bummer, man. I totally understand though. Any word on why such delays? Glowforge forums are ablaze. Glowforge isn't being very clear as to why the sudden need for another lengthy delay. Lots of apologizes, but they had "we are on track" statements the week of Thanksgiving. If they were ramping up to deliver 1,000's of units by the end of December, they would have known about this most recent delay awhile ago. I have lost faith in it. wmkjr
That's sucks to hear. If you went with one of the big companies instead of a glowforge pro I wonder if you would've recoup your investment costs by now? How long has it been 2+years now? Maybe something like this? I would have been better off buying a Made in China laser cutter from eBay at this point. I'll look at the link. Thank you.
ChaoticYeti
This seems pretty shady: "Hello, This is an automated message from Glowforge Owners Forum to let you know that your account has been temporarily placed on hold as a precautionary measure. Please do continue to browse, but you won't be able to reply or create topics until a staff member reviews your most recent posts. We apologize for the inconvenience. For additional guidance, refer to our community guidelines.". I have never posted on the forum, but I was sent this shortly after canceling my pre-order with them. I suppose they don't want people to see how many others are canceling. Can't post or comment. Edited December 3, 2016 by ChaoticYeti
mickyg
That's very interesting. Do they have your "buyers account" somehow linked to your forum membership? That seems shady indeed.
