Loop Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Except the article says he didn't even read it. A7's caption is misleading. Agreed, it should have just been the title of the article "Gundam creator has harsh words for manga and anime hit “Attack on Titan”
antibiotictab Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Tomino's usual attitude, so no surprising. Renato knows it very much... Aside from him, the staffs of the live-action movie are revealed. Gamera's Shinji Higuchi is the director, and a movie critic, Tomohiro Machiyama is one of the playwrights. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2013-12-03/sfx-director-shinji-higuchi-to-helm-live-action-attack-on-titan-film#EpdthQWkhexoVPs3.03
Marzan Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 I think that Tomino's missing the point a bit. Isayama is actually just not a very gifted artist if you compare him to most mangaka. I think he just took what was a weakness and turned into a strength: the sketchy, brash character and Titan designs are very effective. He's a very good storyteller too, and that's were AoT's strength lies.
Keith Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Dear Tomino, YOU MADE V GUNDAM HAVE YOU WATCHED THAT LATELY? Love, -Keith P. S. "Purupurupurupurupuru."
Marzan Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Armin figure LOL. Speaking of which, last chapter of the manga trap Armin is now canon
Bariaburu Faita Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Armin figure LOL. Speaking of which, last chapter of the manga trap Armin is now canon so many doujinshi must be on the way to the printers now.
Marzan Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 so many doujinshi must be on the way to the printers now. I can only imagine!
F-ZeroOne Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Dear Tomino, YOU MADE V GUNDAM HAVE YOU WATCHED THAT LATELY? Love, -Keith P. S. "Purupurupurupurupuru." Actually, he has. Supposedly one of the extras on the Japanese DVD release is Tomino exhorting people not to watch it.
DuelGundam2099 Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Victory was Tomino's best anime though.
Keith Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Victory was Tomino's best anime though. "Turn-A / Zeta. "
DuelGundam2099 Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 They aren't better than Victory, point moot.
F-ZeroOne Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Of course, Tomino created the name "Titans". Just sayin'. Anyway, this is getting a bit off-topic - Turn-A! - but I love the expressions on that figure of wossnames face there... (Armin? I'm getting old, its harder and harder to remember all these guys names... ).
EXO Posted January 12, 2014 Author Posted January 12, 2014 The first time I saw it I had t keep a chart on who's who...
Keith Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 They aren't better than Victory, point moot. It's things like that, that, that keep your posta on block.
DuelGundam2099 Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 And yet you still spam about it, how ironic.
Twoducks Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 The first time I saw it I had t keep a chart on who's who... ab7419e5b84b85eda597cecd79bad8c5.jpg That would have been handy a few months ago. Reading the manga at first was supper hard because the art style made some of the characters look alike. I even got two of them mixed up in a very important moment that made me scratch my head for a time until I got it right. BTW, looks like the Figma line has struck gold and Max Factory wants to mine every onze .

BTW, looks like the Figma line has struck gold and Max Factory wants to mine every onze . That wasn't even the one I used as it didn't exist... it was just a piece I had with crappy sketches of the characters and their names... I don't know if they're doing different sculpts for each character (male and female) but if they're not it'll be the equivalent of the VF-1 in terms of just head changes. just looked... looks like they reuse some parts and there's some differences on other parts like their inner shirts.
Twoducks Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 But will the changes be enough to keep Levi still "vertically challenged" in toy form?

antibiotictab Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 A fan movie by some German fans. Literally "jäger". Oh, they are using a cam stabilizer. I want... And a movie by some Taiwanese fans. I don't know why Misaka Mikoto and Shirai Kuroko appear. lol
TehPW Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 ok that was hillarious. gotta give those folks BZs for the very imaginative Cosplay fanfilms...

Negotiator Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 lol, thanks for bringing TFS to my attention. I ended watching all their hellsing and whole dbz season2.
antibiotictab Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 (edited) I heard the movie and Subaru collaboration CF will be aired tonight on NTV. Edited January 24, 2014 by antibiotictab
Marzan Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Thanks for the video antibiotictab. You know an anime has made it BIG when it's used for a car commercial. Now if only the Recon Corps could get their hands on a couple of Subaru Forrester's to escape the Titans...
antibiotictab Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 That titan was not CGI. http://youtu.be/cIzjmVx-_lM
Twoducks Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Gotta love makeup and puppet special effects over CG... sad thing is they look great but you hardly get to see them in that commercial.

Major Focker Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 i normally prefer 1/7 or 1/8, but the diorama possibilities are tempting me to go smaller
Twoducks Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 No Potato Girl in any of those pics. Your post is fail!
