Here is a little more progress - the small laser/bulge is very quick and hacky at the mo - just getting a feel for detail size - and the second pic shows possible movement if I make it adjustable - it can go about 5 degrees further into the head unit to almost hide it - thoughts? Although... it's supposed to be static like the YF-21's head laser, right? Maybe it would be better to keep things simple and just leave it static. As far as the adjustable laser goes though, while it makes sense that it would move, I don't know if it's worth the extra complexity to do. I'm guessing it'd just be a friction joint that would let you plug it in at a variety of angles, but I wonder how well it would stay in over time. At this point - its going to mighty fiddly to try and get it to move on a single axis swivel - interferes with the screw shaft and I can't move that too much around. Kurisama Posted January 22, 2013 Author Share Posted January 22, 2013 The stock visor is glued tight on my copy - so I'm making a new visor, I'll experiment with FUD maybe - I've seen impressive transparency with it, but my main plan is to paint the new visor green and gloss coat it separately and then glue it on. Face has had to be squished to fit in the VERY limited space afforded to it. I wont make the small indents on the cheeks - won't show up on the print I think. Enjoy! One contains 1) face, 2) head guns, and 3) head laser (for those who still want to use orginal head cover) The other contains everything in the pictures. 2. Separate the circle laser so one can use transparent FUV to print it. 3. Make the inside of the face solid so the eye laser can tightly fit in. 4. Generate the plug part behind the face. 5. Possible to modify its ear? Slightly different with the SHE version. Just let me know when it is in your shapeways store and I will buy some.
