I will try and get the links as I am asking my friend to help me get it directly from Chinese auction sites and my written Chinese is virtually non existent!

Well, some Chinese websites are taking pre-order for this kit and the price is quite steep, roughly US$90! I was initially thinking of getting one or two but then the price does put me off a little, will have to wait until some first hand review on quality figment etc before parting with my hard earned cash!

From what I heard, it is a plastic injection molded kit!

I don't think it will cost an arm and a leg seeing that it is a non-licensed merchandise! Judging from previous and current Chinese made non-licensed model kits of similar size, I believe the kit will cost within US$20-30.

The kit's box is actually surprisingly big, even the fast pack parts. I guess they had to justify the cost by placing it in a large box to make the buyer feel better! The box' artwork though, IMHO is only so so. Oh...and yeah, the kit was supposedly released today but was already available at the Macross exhibition, which commenced a day earlier. The exhibition also ad the Metal Bo's SD VF-1S Hikaru Strike resin kit for sale, which I thought was not available until August/or a Wonder Fetival exclusive! -

Amazon JP now only ships EMS or DHL Express for all international orders, after handling fee and shipping fee the total will be Yen 1700, at least that is what they charged me Mine arrived today, super fast shipping and well packed, BD pack is shrink wrapped and backed by an oversized cardboard, which is then in return housed in a DHL shipping box. -
Wow...Arcadia sure knows how launch a new business...and the price! Are they trying to compete with BanDais's ChoGoKin DX Macross Frontier series and see who can make a more colorful Valkyrie (YF-29 30th Anniversary Edition) and even more expensive!

Questions about Clear Coats and Potential Yellowing.

Not sure about acrylic lacquers being non-yellowing as I assume any paint will eventually yellow/discolor with time, unless if maybe stored in a dark temperature controlled room. You might want to give Mr.Color's UV clear coat, this will at least slow down the yellowing/dibs coloring process. I have kits displayed for three four years now without any problem. -
Thought some of you guys might be able to help, any idea what the Macross Frontier Key Animation is about? Is it just a collection of copy draft pencil cel collection from all the different Macross Frontier anime? Is it worth getting?

Yeah, keep it in the box, this kit will give you gray hairs, all those detail and those plentiful parts! Btw Mike, two thumbs up for the awesome work. I think I only saw a handful of this kit completed and this is really one of the best one. Anybody want to have a go at it, I have one and I think I will never have time to build it. I have old age catching up with me and with that comes bad eyesight, not the best combo for tackling this kit!

Yeah, but you need to know that those are old stock photos, so the seller might not even have those valks on hand. Once someone places a bid on it then they go out and find these valks from local shops. I am actually a little cautious when buying off EBay when only stock photos are used, not to mention when dealing in pricey items! Actually, even Angolz apply these method as their warehouse is in the same building as my friend's and I have seen some of their employees doing bulk buys from local toy shops!

Though the 1/60 Yammies are not as sturdy as the good old 1/55 Takas or re-issue BanDais, sometimes you just need to give it a little force to get those parts click into position!

Bankruptcy sounds likely and maybe was well planned! It is common practice to file bankruptcy, change name and start fresh without any or little debt. The action might not necessary mean Yamato was losing money but perhaps a way to bypass some corporate taxes!

The recent frenzy buys really cleared out all Yamato valks, even the previously unloved VF-1A Kakizaki variants are moving off the shelfs! And those recent re-issue 30th Anniversary version, well used to be around $110, now shops have hiked them up to $150-160 depending on type. I wanted to pick up another VF-1S Hikaru, now that might just have to wait!

Seems like even the latest re-issue of the VE-1's are getting the price hike treatment, just saw someone picking up one from a shop and paid almost $300 for it!

I have mint is sealed box GBP-1S with VF-1J combo pack, the one with grey goggles, up for grabs for $375 shipped and also a mint VF-22S Gamlin for $125 shipped!

Well, ever since Hasegawa released their line of 1/72 VF-1 model kits, not much love remained with the Club-M's. They are however still great kits and in some aspect superior over their model counterparts!

This is getting really exciting, you could still end up getting the valk, I mean the ones who made the mistake are the ones in the office and when orders come in they just process it. With so many orders each day all all different sorts, your order might get overlooked. Last, the ones who pack and ship them, might have no idea of the value of the item or think it is a special promo discount price! Fingers crossed and do keep us updated!

Hehe, got one today off HLJ and is also in my warehouse together with the 50% 1/72 Hasegawa VF-11B Nothung II model kit at Yen1,500, now when was the last time a new Macross kit was so cheap!

Initially the red box was the "Strike Version", while the blue box was the "Super Version"! However some later releases of the "Strike Version" came with the blue box with a different label over the original description.

There was suppose to be a SD Regult in this year's WonderFestival according to an earlier issue of Hobby Japan and/or Dengeki Hobby but guess Metal Box never managed to release it in time, hope HLJ will carry it!
