CF18 Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 (edited) GK Collection is what various blogs calls it. Previous discussion: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=36248 This should be the designer's team: http://www.team-strike.com/ According to this blog: http://digimix.jp/blog/ Edited May 17, 2012 by CF18
Reïvaj Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 (edited) Oh, I can see two very promising silhouettes there… What’s the scale of these again? Never mind. Edited May 18, 2012 by Reïvaj
Loop Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 (edited) What does the text say next to the silhouettes? I really do want a Spartan and a ES-11D although I don't have any kit building skills. I will most likely buy them anyway and commission someone at a later date. Edited May 17, 2012 by Loop
Chronocidal Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 Hah.. so after all these get modeled/casted by numerous fans, they decide to make their own? I'm liking this! Quick, someone start a Ghost X9 and a VF-9 model!
CF18 Posted May 18, 2012 Author Posted May 18, 2012 1:60, which you could have seen in the post above if Reïvaj didn't hotlink from site that don't allow hotlink.
Valkyrie Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 Excelent! Glad to see they're 1/60, since we already have all of those in 1/72
505thAirborne Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 This is very cool. I want a spartan and a lancer. A Spartan for sure as well that GHOST!! Possibly a Lancer as well.
Valkyrie Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 So are these kits, or toys? They're resin cast model kits. And I'm really curious what they're going to cost...
DarrinG Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 So will the Spartan be HDP - like the Phalanx, or something different?
Penguin Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 Definitely, and most definitely. My poor, aching, wallet... Eh... who am I kidding. I'll buy these and never look back.
MechTech Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 Yeah, as was said, our members build most of these and NOW we get kits. There seems to be a theme here ... - MT
DarrinG Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 Sorry if this has already been posted -- but how is M.E.F different from Yamato? Will these kits be the same material as the Regult and Phalanx?
DarrinG Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 HOOWWWWWWWW is M.E.F different from Yamato? Will these kits be the same material as the Regult and Phalanx?
Jasonc Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 HOOWWWWWWWW is M.E.F different from Yamato? Will these kits be the same material as the Regult and Phalanx? I have no clue. In any case though, at worst you have the regular resin that many recasters use, which accepts paint and it easy to build with. At best, it is the HDP (high density polyurethane) stuff that is much stronger, more flexible, but probably cost much more. What they really need to do, is make a kit like this of the Ghost X-9 from Macross Plus, in 1/60. Now, that'd be a definite buy for me.

EXO Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 Sorry if this has already been posted -- but how is M.E.F different from Yamato? Will these kits be the same material as the Regult and Phalanx? MEF is Digimix Studio. Just like TREX designs the newer valks for Yamato, this is the team that has brought us the Destroids and the HDP Regult. I'm assuming that the Spartan might be HDP, because of the moving parts and will likely be equivalent to the upper part of the upcoming Phalanx kit, and the rest will be resin. The license if probably a sub-license thru Yamato, that's why we've been seeing this on the Yamato blog and their booths.

I would think these kits will also be HDP then...
