I was messing around on Tribble and saw a Galaxy do the saucer separation. IIRC, the Saucer turned into an NPC called "Galaxy Saucer" while the players name remained the same over the stardrive section.

Ship interiors are on tribble and should be here for season 2. Pretty well executed, though they still have alot of work to do. This is definitely putting me back towards re-upping my 3-month sub. Swooshing doors and everything.

Excelsior and Nebula are coming to the C-Store, both with gimmicks like the Galaxy-X (3-Nacelle version from All Good Things, which has a 'phaser lance', heavy cannons, and a cloak). Supposedly Excelsior will have a transwarp drive allowing it to instantly go to any sector while the Nebula will have an "AWACS style special ability" - most of us are thinking the ability to detect cloaked ships.

Started playing this game again after a few months break, still on my first character and i've made it to the rank of Vice Admiral. :)

USS Scoops fighting the Borg. Fighting the ships are easy, but fighting the drones are a pain

USS Scoops in Fluidic Space

USS River in Earth orbit, it's the retro-fit version with cloaking device :)

My character with the away team, I like how my uniforms turned out for my character and team

I was looking at the Excelsior and I don't think it is the same design that we all know and love from the movies. All of the parts look different.

The refit is the one I saw in drydock by Spacedock.

Looks like the T5 refit went on the C-Store today. You get both skins (Refit and standard) with the purchase from the C-Store. Not sure, but sounds like it's available for Vice-Admirals with their "retrofit" slot. Then apparently, there's a "free" T3 version.

Nothing grossly wrong from what I see, but I do think the front half of the engineering hull is too fat/stocky from most angles. Neck looks "off" to me---I think it's too vertical overall.

The intersection of the neck/saucer seems to be missing the big gap/indentation, but pretty much EVERYWHERE misses that. Drawings, CG, Ertl. I think only the studio model has it.

Planetary sensor array too long up front---I really think they copied the Ertl kit for that.

Nacelles seem a bit fat, horizontally, IMHO.

Hmm, looks like it's NOT free for T3, but is available from Starship Requisitions to buy with EC. I just bought one for RA, foolishing with my main toon, instead of on Tribble, like I should have. Ah well, only a couple hundred k (160k, IIRC) EC, which are near worthless and I have about 2M more anyway.

It's obviously useless for an RA/VA (unless you buy the Refit and doesn't appear to be available as the VA freebie, either so the only way for the refit is microtransaction right now), but if you make a new toon, should be available as a freebie when you hit Commander, so imagine there should be many out there. I see people in other threads complaining that alot of guys are abandoning the Sovereign for the Refit (presumably paying), since it's better overall than the Sovereign. We'll see if they either nerf it or amp up the Sov (and/or make a "refit" available).

I'm still playing this every now and agian, I've got a retro-fit defiant now, which means it can cloak :)

Also joined an all borg guild/fleet, even though guilds was something i wasn't keen on afer my previous experience on RF online where they were uber hardcore 24/7 non stop, but this fleet i joined is very laid back and no presure what so ever, which means i can take my time playing. :)

I just got the game a couple of weeks ago. Already LT Commander 3.

Got my Excalibur Class Cruiser and running patrols/explorations/etc...

Look me up Marcalo Munovia@zorprimus

My impressions so far have gotten better with each time I play. Space combat is awesome and Away Missions have become easier now that I've gotten more or less how to equip and level my crew.

See you out there!

Still playing... got me a galaxy class refit for saucer separation and a Prometheus class refit for multi vector (phaser boat) separation.

Yes, you can pilot any one of the 3 sections, with specific buffs and penalties.

I just got back into a game a while ago, fell out of love with WoW. Playing a Science Officer this time around. I really love the flexibility of the class, and the science ships are a nice balance between the cruisers and the escorts.

The Luna class is available as a standard ship at Tier 4.

Started playing this again about 2 months ago and decided to take the plunge with a Klingon character. I got him to max level, got him some nice gear and did the featured eps with him. That being said, the lack of Klingon content and the disregard for established canon as a whole made me cancel.

I really hate some of the things Cryptic has done with/to established canon. I'm just glad that nothing but the shows and movies actually counts as canonical. The game has its moments, but overall I just can't justify paying for it once endgame is all that's left.

Nice Klingon Officer.

Here's images of away team and crew.

Yah, my B.O. are all female (including a Borg) with Terran uniforms, except for 2 males... 1 Reman, and 1 Photonic Officer.

I left the game long ago for many reasons. But 2 of the major reasons why I did so was these 2 points you brought up, esp. regarding the Klingons. I was one of the constant KDF players but sticking around was a self-punishing experience. I PvP'ed all the time but there literally was nothing else for the Klingons and little to customize with (even uniforms). It's irritating to still see that even after 1 year and several updates, there really hasn't been s**t done for the Klingons.

WTF is that thing? The simpler Sovereign design is much better. Also, they should offer that big ugly Romulan gunboat from Nemesis, damn that thing was ugly. And while I'm on a bitchfest, just from reading reviews here, I get the impression they don't seem to put much meat into the non-federation content. For whatever reason, if they feel not enough people are playing it to justify the costs, then they should have their own company dudes play the bad guys for players to go up against, just to make things a bit more interesting.

The guy who is heading STO at this time basically said that Klingons will eventually get a proper PVE progression, but it will never be close to what the feds have. He also mentioned (in a somewhat dickish way) that only 12% of the STO pop plays Klingon and they weren't really worth putting tons of focus on.

My response is honestly, when your second faction is pretty much piss it's not a wonder no one plays them. Klingon faction players have less ships, armor options, pve missions, hell we even have less weapon options for purchase with the early exploration currency. That and they pretty much took a dump all over established canon (this could be applied to the whole of STO honestly). I've come back to the game a couple of times now and genuinely enjoyed it, but that fades within a week or so when there isn't anything of value to do. It's an mmo so a grind is pretty much unavoidable at some point, but cryptic makes it about as monotonous as they possibly can.

The game honestly needs another 6 months to a year before it could even begin to start being called a complete package. Right now it just feels like a really long beta test where they neglect an entire faction.
