Kurt Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 (edited) Enjoy....thanks! Edited August 20, 2009 by Kurt
JCSaves Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 501 WHAT WHAT!!! Is that your area man? Let's see. Little Rock, AK according to area code finder. That is a wicked cool custom Kurt! Another hope for Yamato to come out with this in the 1/60 v.2.
sidearmsalpha Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Amazing! There's no denying you truly are a master at your craft. I hope I can commission you to do something as nice someday. Just out of curiousity, Kurt, have you ever considered taking a hiatus from the custom work? Not that I would want you to, but even a guy like you probably needs a break from this every now and then, right?

Not that I would want you to, but even a guy like you probably needs a break from this every now and then, right? Thanks everyone. I took sometime off about 3 years ago, that was it. Ever since then I have always had a custom on my bench to do. I work at my own pace so I don't get burned out. Besides if I flood the market with customs your grandchildren will never appear on Antiques Roadshow in 50 years getting a "Kurt" custom appraised. LOL

LOL And that my friend is what make these are so special. Nothing like good old fashioned nostalgia. I know I'm a selfish SOB for wanting the Kurt custom MG's, as well as some others, to remain exclusive to 1/48 scale. I am so hoping the Stealth, MG, or LV variations don't make it to the Yamato 1/60 production factory. Edited August 20, 2009 by MacrossMan
mitch Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Beautiful! gorgeous work! God, I love the Minmay Guard!

I'm sure the 1/60's will get their more than their fair share of line that will never see 1/48 (uhh, like already..)
ff95gj Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 What a sight to behold! I know it's not very likely to happen; still I wish for both Minmay guards in either the 1/60 or the 1/48 (Macross Chronicle exclusive if you will).
MacrossMan Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 that's beautiful... are those anasazi decals? Yep.
Excillon Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 I always wondered what Kurt charges for a custom...although, given the level of detail and sheer perfection of it, I'm sure even expensive as hell is a fair price.
gwfalcon Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 More pictures added in my "legendary macross toys" folder. When can I have such a masterpiece on my shelf?
macrossnake Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Amazing custom work! If only Yamato will able to make one like this... and that might cost us 1000 dollars.
Godzilla Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Kurt, again you amaze me. Yamato should look to you for inspiration if not outright hire you. Damn good custom again.
Kicker773 Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 hehehe nice gun show.. post the pics on the MG page =)
BlueMax Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Kurt, amazing as always! haha, seems that people are more interested (not that i'm complaining, mind you!)in the Minmay guard(s), Enigmas, and VF-1Ds, seems the interest for other schemes are not as popular? As a side note: I wonder Devin (Anasazi) is still doing any decals, I'm inspired to get some for customization purposes!
