Kyp Durron Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 I believe that goes with the 1/665 version, the 1/590 that I bought doesn't appear to have any electronics like the original 1/665 version, unfortunately. However, the 1/590 scale does appear to have a more accurate sculpt from what I can make out, but I won't know until it gets here. I'll post pics when I get it. -Kyp

505thAirborne Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 If I lived in Japan, I'd be at the Theaters right now!!!
Lott Sheen Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 I`ll pass on this. The Japanese nationalist and Japanese Imperial apologist themes in it never sat well with me.

Dynaman Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 I read somewhere that it came in 7th at the box office, no idea if that is good or bad (article said it was bad). And no idea if the article was accurate.
taksraven Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 A little more excited about , personally. WTF!!!!!! Yes PLEASE!!!!!!!!!! :) :) Taksraven
Dynaman Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 WTF!!!!!! Yes PLEASE!!!!!!!!!! :) :) Taksraven Ditto! Even the uniforms look good (Older live action shows from Japan had uniforms that looked terrible)
Robelwell202 Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 A little more excited about , personally. <<< WARNING: The clip referenced in the above quote has left the post author in a catatonic state, and unable to articulate his excitement in any form of coherent speech. We will advise when this situation is rectified, but early estimates indicate that this will happen only when the author has seen this movie.>>>
Wanzerfan Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 A little more excited about , personally. Christ, that looks good. Any chance for a U.S. release? I hope the dub won't be terrible.

Dynaman Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Thank you new Star Trek movie, for making this possible. Call me dense, I don't get the reference. Did the new ST movie have some connection to Yamato getting made? Or am I missing something in the previous posts on this thread?
Keith Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 Call me dense, I don't get the reference. Did the new ST movie have some connection to Yamato getting made? Or am I missing something in the previous posts on this thread? Did you watch the new Yamato trailer???
Dynaman Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 Did you watch the new Yamato trailer??? Yes - I don't see any connection with it and the new ST movie though. Does it have lense flare?
Chuey Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 Does anyone know if there is a soundtrack to the new Yamato animated movie?
peter Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 Yes - I don't see any connection with it and the new ST movie though. Does it have lense flare? I'm confused, are we talking about Yamato Live action, or Yamato Animated?
Keith Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 I'm confused, are we talking about Yamato Live action, or Yamato Animated? Live action, and currently I'm attributing the success of the recent ST movie to the decision to make a live action Yamato movie.
taksraven Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Live action, and currently I'm attributing the success of the recent ST movie to the decision to make a live action Yamato movie. It probably helped with raising some of the finances but I think the planning stages would have started well before the ST film had been released. Taksraven
