Valentines day is not until Saturday, so you can stay home on Friday for this. Everyone here needs to get in on this from the ground floor. Start watching Dollhouse this Friday the 13th @ 9pm eastern on FOX. This is the much anticipated show by Firefly and Serenity creator Joss Whedon. Please support this show and don't let it get canceled like Firefly did in it's first season.

Just plan to stick around after Terminator airs on it's new night and watch it. OK, you probably need to either record The Clone Wars or record Dollhouse so you won't miss either on Friday. Oh, and then watch Battlestar Galactica on SciFi channel after Dollhouse. :D

I've been looking forward to this one, too. Will definitely watch, b/c after all, it's Joss on Fox on Friday. Unfortunately, it probably won't last long. Lets just hope they actually start the series with the first episode this time, instead of screwing it up like Firefly.

Didn't have as much of the trademark humor in Whedon's shows, but I could see promise in it. I'll tune in next week.

It's not just the humor... it's the concept. Whedon's other stuff always had such a clear premise. this felt to me like too many people were involved.

But I'll stick around to watch as well... if for nothing else to see eliza in another short dress. ^_^

Not impressed. feels very generic... it's looking like Dark Angel + Ghost Whisperer

Was going to say Dark Angel and Alias, myself.

Was WAY too predictable.

I'll watch a couple more to see if it gets better. Here's to hoping.

I'm in agreement with several of the above posters... this one, I'm in "wait and see" mode, trusting it will find its footing and draw me in. The first episode didn't give me much to go on, however.

I'm also a little bit peeved at the frequency by which they're using Summer Glau and Eliza Dushku to push their "spend Friday night with these hotties" advertising angle... it just seems beneath Joss Whedon, you know? Then again, Episode 1 of Dollhouse was about one-third-part each Eliza Dushku in provocative party mode, pajama girl-next-door mode, and naughty librarian mode.

It did throw me for a loop that she didn't bust out any martial arts in the episode, I was half-expecting them to dramatically flip that character's switch for the final 5 minutes. The Episode 2 preview looked somewhat compelling. Again, I say I'm giving it a chance and expecting great things, but honestly if it didn't have Whedon's name attached I would probably be much more skeptical.

That's what i first thought also, but at least Eliza Dushku can act a whole lot better than Jessica Alba (though that's not saying much). I also thought the first episode was predictable but it was fun to watch and kept my interest so i'll give it a few more episodes to build on the plot and the characters.

Pretty sure you needn't worry that it's Joss pushing commercials. Fox on the other hand...

It's Friday night shows and that young male demographic needs something to be drawn in!

I watched the premiere episode. After Firefly, Whedon will have to pull an M. Night to get me to completely give up. That being said the show didn't really "pop" to me, I'll watch more, there is room for some neat story development, and he definitely knows how to make characters likeable and interesting, so I hope that the fact that his main character is going to spend a lot of time not being herself doesn't detract from her likability.

Anyhow, I didn't think it was bad, so I'll give it a shot.

I caught about half an episode. With the black diva wanting to get killed or something. Seemed way too far fetched but Eliza is great to look at anyway. :D

At this point the only way I could see this show becoming more than a glorified undressing fantasy-girls extravaganza is if the Dolls take over and start modding their own brains for some greater purpose... like Mission Impossible kinds of stuff, not escort service clients gone wrong. So far, the utilitarian abilities of the Dolls seem very lacking (aside from Sierra's burst onto the scene with an assault rifle in Ep 1, which hints at oh so much more potential).

It's like the Matrix, but boring and shallow.

I don't know, I feel that it has potential. I can see the threads being made that are going to turn this into a great show. A friend of mine pointed out that Joss takes awhile to usually hit his stride on a show. Plus he may be playing it safe after Fox mutilated the last show of his they aired.

I liked this last ep. Especially the last bit where Echo and Sierra seem to know something is going on.

Yeah, that little scene had me intrigued. It's like she was motioning to Sierra not to acknowledge each other in passing because people were watching. But, they are supposed to be in their neutral state or whatever you call it.

I agree, Ep3 gave me a bit more hope.

Seeing the russian guy is another doll was a neat touch, as was the sierra/Echo nod at the end. One thing i think Joss IS doing right is keeping some mysteries hanging but answring smaller ones here and there. A nice balance.

I'm sticking with it. Its like i said when the Terminator series started: Just give shows the time to grow into themselves and find their feet, and soon u will have something special.

So I knew the cute neighbor was a doll because of her listing on IMDB

, but now I am more interested in her purpose. If they could use her at anytime why aren't they using her to neutralize the FBI agent? What's really going on? Conspiracies, conspiracies.
