I was so tempted by the 1/55 FP but it was like 8,800 yen. maybe another time since I bought Animated UM the other day. The 1/55s just ooze charm. You should definitely look into the new origin release. Nuh, no chunky yet, i started with 1 v.1 Yamato 1/60 (VT-1) and then upgraded to the Hikaru 1S 1/48, which at the time was hard to find. Man given the current market, Yamato VF-1s are going to be out for a long time, they are newer, therefore easier to track down in the long run. Best to get the classics while you can man. yeah improvements over the Fp Roy v.2 would be interesting (if there are any) Swoosh said the arms/shoulders weren't as tight, and the tightness definitely contributed to stress on the flimsy shoulder hinge, which some members already had breakages with. The VF-1D will be available all over japan, so that means the etailers that we normally go to will be carrying it, its just a matter of when. Why can't they simply release a reasonable quantity that they project will sell. The con exclusives are really the most extreme example if this. If you are lucky enough to be there and get them, you can snag it for a reasonable price. But then the demand far out paces supply, and you have a huge mark up on ebay.
