Very happy right now…… The ultimate VF-1 set. If I was to only have 1 VF-1 toy, this would be the one to have. Funny thing is I don't have one and I like Roy's color way better but there is no better all-around package than this one. I just settle with having hundreds of other Valks instead for now.😅

Not at that price.... Looking for one myself, but I have my limits! 🙈

Seems as if the seller used baby oil to clean it. At that price I would expect to be shown the rear of the figure and all the accessories as I only count one booster armor antenna. My have the prices of VE-1’s risen in past auctions, not sure they are selling that high though.
vladykins Posted September 10 Posted September 10 I thought it was priced crazy, so then I checked sold auctions and saw this:

Would be nice to know the actual price. BOA can lead people to believe the higher price listed but the figure could have sold for half the asking price.
Stampeed Valkyrie Posted September 14 Posted September 14 holy moly! $4500 for a VE-1? this reminds me of ebay back in the early 00s where 1/55 strikes were basically getting gobbled up by 1 or 2 whales and driving the prices up artificially. Side note, I managed to acquire a 1/55 Matsushiro Jetfire that needs some parts.. most of my old links for these are dead.. any good sites for parts, like back packs or other random stuff for repair?

I might have some parts, but they are yellowed. Let me know what you need and I'll see what I have for you.
sh9000 Posted September 18 Posted September 18 It's such a great feeling to receive some brand new 1/55s. I had originally sold my spare set of VF-1J Max and Milia reissues a long time ago. Finally getting them back in my collection and swooshing them around after so many years is awesome.

Did you swap out the VF-1A head from an Origin of Valkyrie Max Super, or did you go the longer route and paint a VF-1S? If the latter, that's an excellent color match. Edited September 20 by 26662
nightmareB4macross Posted September 20 Posted September 20 @sh9000simple yet effective. I went with using vinyl electrical tape in assorted colors. Having purchased a bunch of VF-1S Supers and VF-1A to make these customs tape makes it easy to create customs and keep from damaging paint, parts, or screws. Still your custom is very cool to say the least. The colors appear more than bright enough n the picture, but really are very close to the original paint. Keep those customs coming.

Awesome collection. I want a TV VF-1A Max and Kakizaki.
Shawn Posted September 22 Posted September 22 Another dumb question...has there ever been documentation on just how the 1/55 series was 'packed' from the factory? Example-the Elintseeker...where was the heat shield place when new? Or the little antenna extensions on he fast packs? Where they in baggies? Loose? Everything else is documented on these things, I was just curious on where things actually came out 'stock' from the factory. Not just this example, but the 1/55 line in general. Sort of like if you were judging a car restoration where things need to be in their place lol
jenius Posted September 22 Posted September 22 No documentation but I would guess the heat shield would be in the battroid tray since it was included with the 1A and that only had the one tray.

Sort of like if you were judging a car restoration where things need to be in their place lol There may have been a specific way in which these were acted but it might be difficult to say for sure. Most MIB examples have items individually wrapped while others have the twin antenna together with shield wrapped separately or some don’t have wrapping at all. Same for the Strike Valkyries. Aside from that the baggies they used were pretty inconsistent in feel, size, mil, and form of sealing. Would be an interesting note for sure. one person who has a very fine set of examples would be @Agent-GHQ. Hopefully his are still undisturbed.
26662 Posted September 25 Posted September 25 I asked Toynami about the 1/55 re-release announced at this year’s SDCC. I’ve attached their full response. 💯💪❤️🚀 [I have no clue what hidden meanings are assigned to emojis by kids today, so forgive me if I’ve chosen poorly. I have no plans for world domination or any other such nonsense.]

Unrelated, your flooring looks like mine: narrow oak from the 60s. Crazy-good quality, but are they ever creaky after 60 years of foot traffic. One day I’ll brave the crawlspace no-see-ums and fasten them more securely.
