1. Man I will send you some pics I got last year and year before. Posted this back in Seafair 2004. Anyways, I moved back to ATL due to employment. I found a better job. I went on the navy ships as well. I was on the USS Constellation in 2002 when she came into port. As for the anime and toy and model place. I know those places. The one in Northgate is Kicks. They use to have a place in bellevue as well. That is why I got my yamato yf-22 FP. You might want to try Anime Kingdom. I use to get a lot of stuff from them. As for the store in the International District, I always go there. Actually I go to the Japanese restaurant on the 2nd floor on Mondays after Judo around 10PM. Man I miss that place. I will post more pics of last years Seafair. I would have invited you over to see the collection of 1/48s. And you could help me detailed my F-18... day late dollar short.
2. VF103, you are in WA State?! Damn man. I use to live in Renton up till about last Oct. Would have been nice to meet up with fellow Macross folks in that area. I use to work over in Bellevue and the BA would fly over my office and I had front row since I had an office window. Oh well... this will my first time in I will miss the Blue Angels over Lake Washington. Anyways, I have the F-18 Hornet and it is hanging in my office. My coworkers think I have the best decorated office. Some bring their kids to see my 1/60 valks and the BBI F-18 during this summer. My next task is to buy and hang the Apache 1/18 scale. I have airplane posters all around my office. Nice on what you did to the F-18. Very detail indeed. One thing I hate about the f-18 is that it has too many fuel tanks. I need more missiles for lethality. As for BBI marketing dept, I have to agree with ya on that. I sent email about what else they are making or I suggest making the F-14. They gave me the song and dance that they dont disclose projects but I can discuss this on their forums. As much as I like the 1/18 scale stuff, it is just way too big. I have the M1A1 and Bradley in 1/18 scale in hopes of doing the Iraqi freedom dioramas but reality sets in: 1/48 valks vs 1/18 scale. Space is an issue as well as time. Still debating on what to do. Oh BTW, did you get the 1/18 scale Army Blackhawk from BBI?
3. 1. VF-4G Lightning 2. Better stickers or more tampo printing. 3. 1/48 2 seaters. 4. Enemy Mecha. 5. Destroids 6. YF-21
4. P2 is one of my favorite anime films even over the GitS films. I like the story as it shows the foundation of what will be a crisis planned from the beginning. It is good to know what happened to the original members of SV2 and how they came back. P1 was good but I think it could have been more of a mini-series part TV show. P3 was interesting to see how the rest of world of the Patlabor universe interacts but laters include SV2.
5. hehe, wait till your married, I thought my job paid well, till now 421363 Um she makes more than me! 10K more than me to be exact.
6. Godzilla

2 seater 1/48s

NightmareB4Macross, you rule! That is awesome now yamato has no excuse unless Graham knows it is coming and wont tell us.
7. They make the f-18 hornets in 1/18 scale. As a matter fact, it is in my office hanging. Now these are made by BBI. That sucker is in fact huge. now you want the non transformable VF-1 in 1/18 scale? Shouldnt be a problem. The f-18 cost $89. But what is the point? I rather spend money on 1/48s. That is why I am dumping my 1/18 BBI stuff.
8. 50mm! That's one big round. Are you sure you don't mean .50 (as in half inch)? Graham 421183 Yeah, I think he meant that. Unless they were using a Soviet BMP-2 turret cannon which I doubt or there wouldnt be anything left of the bad guys.
9. Kensei, I couldnt have said it better myself. This pic is priceless. This what I want to do to Graham every time he makes these statements. No offense Graham, just drives me insane when you say "Lots of other great stuff" is coming. 420726
10. I deferred my car loan payment for one month to afford the VF-0... 421203 DUDE! uhmmm... that's not smart. You only get so many of those... 421213 I know it is none of my business but eriku, as a fellow friend on MW, I have to agree with eugimon. Eugimon has a point. Best not to ruin your credit rating just for a toy. Yes it is cool to have one but it is a toy. Yes I know it is easy for me to say I have a huge collection of 1/48s but I never starved nor deferred payments on bills. I wouldnt be a friend if I didnt tell you this. Hopefully no offense man.
11. Tisinc does that too. I hate it when they put sale price and regular price together to show you how much you are saving at their store, it's complete and utter BS. 421137 That is why I no longer buy from them unless it is a good bargain.
12. Sounds like I am glad I skipped this things. They got me on my MPCs. I took a chance with the Alphas, and they are ok. Voltron wasnt bad but these? I suspected it would be ok but not for that much. Accept no substitute! 1/48 all the way!
13. Look, I dont see an issue if you wanted to collect one of everything in the macross toys. Technically, not many of you are like what Sithlord, Kensei, and I do: mass buying. Sithlord (correct me if I am wrong, sith) buys 4 of each to show in each mode and 1 MIB. Kensei (correct me if I am wrong Kensei) bought more for the customization only to see the customization is pointless now that the Angel Birds and Kakazaki DYRL is out. I mean Yamato could very well release a TV versions of the Max and Kakazaki... who knows: a grey Roy TV version VF-1S or the 2 seaters? As for my explaination of collecting so much: I am a just a fricking moron. . I was thinking of doing some customization as I did with Vf-1S max, blue angels, and vf-1a DYRL Kakazaki but for all purposes, I collected to make an airforce in hopes of making a Prometheus. I skipped on Capt America's conversion kit hoping I dont offend the Yamato gods in not keeping the faith of them making the 1/48 versions. Regardless, most are not like me. Yes I am lucky to have a job that pays well, but as I discussed with my GF over the weekend, if I buy more of this stuff, it will bother her. Of course some issues I dont like of her but I wont get into that. Anyways, if I can control this to a minimal and to one or two toy genres like just macross and TFs, I am fine. Now am I spending all my money on it? No. I am not that stupid. I do save. I should save more but this is nature of the collectible toys. Now I have collected stupid toys and comics ala Ren and stimpy thinking it will be expensive. That is a mistake in collecting. If you are here to make a quick buck, then this isnt collecting. You are better off flipping condos to make more money. Now if you can do it, more power to you and you should own a toy store. I agree with Haterist's statements in trying to get some profit to fund your own stuff without hitting your pocketbook hard. But sometimes you always cant but that is fine. If I am not interested in stuff, I tend to sell it off. I have made some sacrifices and prolly more just to keep my macross items. One thing we all have to know is go within your limit. If you have a family and able to provide for them and then more, then do it b/c you deserve to have a little something. But if choosing between your family and you to be fed, clothed, sleep in a place with a roof over their head or just to collect toys, that should be a no brainer. I told my GF, I will stop collecting and even sell of my collection for the sake of my family (if I do ever get one). This is not my obession but my hobby.
14. I got my LEs for $57 each with $2 shipping at Overstock. I also got Wasted 13 for $30. So win for me. Plus I get 5% from using my credit at overstock. Edit: My bad. I got mine for $61 a piece with a 10% discount which made it $55 each and for Patlabor 3, I got it for $39 but with 10% discount it made it $35. Then take an addition 5% rebate from my credit card, I got my LEs for $52 and for Patlabor 3, $33 or so.
15. Hey now why you dragging me in to this? I like SW but right now I dont have many SW toys like him though I have almost every fracking video game. And since the announcements of certain macross releases, it has come to my attention somethings need to go. SW toys is one of them. If I am to continue my arms race against Kensei (sorry buddy to include in this but I need a reason so you're it. J/K) , budget restraints has force me to sell of my other collections that no longer interest me.
16. Oh I like the US Navy markings. That would be cool. Though I dont like the stickers Yamato makes.
17. Ummm, what he said. As for the 1/60s I dropped out of that due to the 1/48. For now we will see.
18. Actually I am not sure what is going on in the circles of Toynami/HG. I see this post: So what is the verdict? I am not even sure there is one now.
19. Well let me ask this: who is is gonna get rid of their MPC alphas now that the beta is dead?
20. Good lord I skipped that on renting it. I thought it would be a steaming pile of poo.
21. I can understand a lot of your fustration on this issue. Now for a devil's advocate, well how about yamato? Well we waited and guess what? they slapped like 5 macross related items for release as far as the general public knows. (Graham is in another class here since he knows what coming!). And we are complaining that they are releasing all in one shot not giving us time to recover. On the flip side, I got Toynami's Voltron and they aint bad. In fact better than my original expectations. Yamato's record isnt exactly stellar either but they redeemed themselves. Remember when they said they were going to put out the YF-19 FP 1/72 scale (was it the 1/72 scale?)? It became vaporware. But the 1/60 version is coming soon. My opinion? Looking back, I was disappointed with the MPCs. I wasnt entirely happy about the 1/60s either. But they were the game in town. To me, the 1/55s looked too clunky. After having all of them, I am really thinking I need to just stick with 1/48s VF-1 and the 1/60 M0 and M+. As for the Mospeada, I too want a tranformable and connectable Legioss Tread. I have the 1/35s and sit the MPC alpha beside it. I like the fighter mode because it looks good. Just the landing gear and chest piece keep it from being better. Well, I need to add the arms are not able to pose since you put the gun in the hand the whole arm droops down. Sad to say, it is a wait and see attitude on this beta thing.
22. You think this is the cool stuff? You ain't seen nothing yet! Graham 419534 What comes around goes around buddy! Teasing us will inevitiably lead that someone will be teasing you in the future. Maybe the wife? MUWAHAHA.
23. 32 this year. Not married. GF doesnt want to get married till we get off our long distance relationship so I will assume soon to be single. At this rate, my collection will be at 150+ valks and no house...
24. Shipping cost will not go down. We need to remember the cost of shipping is directly tied to the fuel costs. Oil has been hovering above $70. If anything, the cost will go up. Also affecting the pricing is the currency. The yen vs the dollar is a big issue. If the dollar keeps falling and/or the yen rises, the price is going to go higher. Yes, i am sure there is some built in pricing of profits but still we the ppl in overseas get stuck with the nice shipping bill.
25. LV1 was a limited edition, so I *doubt* they will re-release. As for the others, you might have to ask Graham here but I dont think he will tell. I am sure he was ready to explode on spilling the Angel, Kakazaki, and the re-release of the DYRL Max but he cant since he will not get more info if he does spill it before the announcement. I mean who knew the 1/60 YF-19 was coming? Oh yeah, no I wouldnt buy it for that much. The ebay price is ridiculous as well.
