You ppl are getting more anal and getting worse. You compare warplanes to yamato products? You all have no idea what the hidden flaws in manufacturing. On the 757 and 737 program, there was lots of crap that was going on. Yet the airplanes still flew. You dont even see the flaws when you get on the airplane. Cargo doors will not close properly, wiring not long enough, scratched fusealge, etc. Comparing warplanes to toy is like comparing apples to oranges. BTW, the $10 mil warbirds are built by the lowest bidder as in all military contracts.

Ok, Here is what I see and I am seeing the same damn BS here at work as the mob mentality. -Yamato screwed up the YF-19 1/72. We are upset with the hip joints -Yamato makes a decent VF-1 1/60 series. -Yamato make a decent VF-1 1/48. Minor issues with nose cone crooked tampo of the skull and crossbones. -Yamato makes VF-1 mk2 releases. Everyone is happy as a clam. minor paint quality issues. Yamato is seen as it can do no wrong. -Yamato makes the VF-0 and screwed up in VF-0 series. Everyone complains that Yamato is crap and never ever gonna buy it. -Yamato makes a yf-19 1/60. It is decent save for the crooked gunpod in plane mode and stress marks due to the tightness on the underpart of the cockpit. People complains it is crap and Yamato is seen as shitty toy maker. -Yamato will make a SV-51 and ppl speculate the crapness of it. You ppl need to get your head out of your arses. Again, if you dont like the toy why buy it? You as the consumer are willing to pay that price and settle for mediocrity of the product. For those of you who do not know about economics, there is a law of supply and demand. You have the power to buy or not to buy. If you hold onto your cash and refuse to buy means that you are telling the companies you do not settle for crap. They will either die, move on to another product, or improve. You guys still buy. There is not a gun up to your head to say buy it. You guys are willing to buy. Yet I hear these bullsh!t excuses/reasons as it is the only game in town or if we dont support them, no one else will step up to the plate to make macross toys. Well, aint that a catch-22 then? I am not buying the yf-19 combo and the FPs. Frankly, IMHO, it is not offering that a great deal and not worth it. As for the SV-51, I am on the wall on this. I need to save money for a house and skeptical on to many complicated parts to transform it as Graham warned. Who knows it maybe vaporware since Yamato reads these threads and realizes that this is the Goldilocks and 3 bears game.

I guess I should chime in as one of the large share holder of Yamato save for Lord Kungfu. Ok, back to being serious on the issue at hand. The prices of yammies are affected these factors: 1. Currency. USD vs Japanese Yen. USD has been weaker than the yen. Yamato is adjusting prices according to 2. Gaugers. The middleman stores are selling for the profit. As I see on ebay, ppl pay ungodly prices for a yammie. Folks like BBTS, tinsc, etc, makes their money and then some when they ppl on ebay pay those prices. 3. Shipping costs. They are higher. Energy prices are going thru roof and now subsided. Remember it cost money to ship the goods. 4. Customs Tax. Remember those dealers here in the US has to pay these taxes. I dont understand why everyone complain about Yamato, middle man, sellers etc. Good lord folks, it is a free market. If you dont like the price, dont buy it. People you need to accept the price or move on. If you see all the warning signs and ignore it and then you get bitten on the butt and biatch about it, you are not getting any sympathy from me on this. If you know that the 1st production is gonna suck then do not buy it. That simple. I dont believe there is a conspiracy theory that the Yamato is raping us. I dont buy it. They have been more responsive to us the fans and come out with products. People on this board are too snobbish. They b!tch why should I pay that much for that. And yet we get a more than decent toy such as the yf-19 in 1/60. People nick pick this and that. Good god ppl, if you only knew what was going on in the real world of manufacturing, you'd flip. I worked for Boeing and you wanna know what? The things and problems I can tell, you all would so damn afraid to fly you would need a new change of underwear on your next flight. Also, I notice ppl b!tch about say Toydeals888 (Jason). He charges a little higher price but his shipping is way lower. Then people complain he is higher than HLJ or some HK folks yet the shipping cost is like $40 from those stores. Toydeals total cost including shipping is way cheaper than most HK folks (who were initially cheaper) when you include the shipping. I mean, you all look at the initial price? WTH? I look at everything total cost which includes shipping, inital price, customs tax, etc. If you delude yourself saying you bought this yammie for $100 yet you pay $40 shipping, be glad you dont run a business. Now if you want it now now, then that is your own problem. I am more than willing to wait to get the cheaper price. In general, everyone is seeing their own pocketbook but goddamn it we get so narrow minded we lose sight of everything. No one here looks at the bigger picture. Do you know how run a business? Do you look at the overall cost of storing, transporting, taxes and whatnot? No, you look at the damn price and cry like a baby about your wallet. If you need to buy a toy or feed your family, you should know what to do. If not, I pity you. Everyone knows in this hobby it will be expensive. If you can't take, maybe you need to find another hobby. I know I am gonna be accused of being a fanboy for Yamato and quite frankly, I don't give a rip what you think. If I am being insensitive, tough shiet. I am taking a look at this objectively and giving you my view. And let me tell you what, I am being way more than objective that most ppl on this board. Quite frankly, I am in agreement with Graham. There has been plenty of negativity on the toys in general. I am getting depressed from reading the complaining and nitpicking as well. Sure you cannot please everyone but man, where is the cheese because there is so much whining... especially on yamato. As for Toynami, their track record speaks for themselves. I mean how can you not get disappointed with them. Sure I liked their voltron but looking back at their stuff on robotech, I am the wait and see crowd. I have to agree with most that the blew it on the beta.

My hikkie VF-1A 1/60 is yellowing. My 1/48s are still in the boxes so I havent noticed any yellowing.

I need to play on realistic. I finished on normal for coop and single. Let me know when you wanna play.

ok, enough dreaming about the LV1 reissue. It IS NOT HAPPENING. As for the rest, I dont know. I am still concerned for the 2 seaters. As Graham mentions in the interview, they said they will have them but not in 1/48 scale. I wonder what does that mean.

Count me in for the GoW. Been playing CoD2 and Rainbow Six Vegas. I like Rainbow 6 better than GoW though. Havent played GoW online though. Time wise might be a problem though.

Part of me agrees with you for spending $200 on a toy that is should be perfect but hell, it is a transformable toy so it will be complicated so I have no doubt it will be ever "perfect". And isnt "perfect" subjectible per person based their opinion? I am quite happy they tampo printing a lot of stuff on the YF-19. This thing is better than the previous. Anyways...

I cant blame you for that reasoning. I would have to tend to agree with you especially in the VF-0A. I havent found any breaking of the shoulder but the box of 4 is sitting in the basement. I opened the case and checked each one out after the "read this" thread. Then again I havent really handled them to know for sure. Right now I have to be really mad at them for not making the 2 seaters 1/48s.

That is correct. I cannot understand why Yamato will not do the 1/48 2-seaters. It is definitely possible to do it.

Actually I am quite the opposite. Since the release of the yf-19, I am most impressed with Yamato on the QA. Yes, the gunpod is off a bit when in fighter mode but hell, the damn thing is solid. So I will therefore assume the SV-51 should be just as good if not better. Then again, we know what assuming does...

What has me upset is that there is no 1/48 2 seaters. They said it will be those 2 seaters but not in that scale. Oh well. Cant win them all. I do however like the LV yf-19 idea. Hell I am gonna be screwed again in my wallet.

On that note, I would have liked to see Roy's funeral. Just have an episode just about him and his history when he met Hikaru and so forth. Sort of having Hikaru do a eulogy. Or better yet, everyone reflect how they met Roy during the ceremony. But then wouldnt it take that episode of Claudia talking about her relationship with Misa? You would have Gloval, Misa, Kakazaki, Max, and the Bridge bunnies reflect how they met him and so forth. I think the characterization about Misa being a strong woman in profession yet weak in personal seems to be fine with me. Everyone has weaknesses. Some are more noticeable than others. It does characterize how the real world works. We look at Minmay and call her a whiny ho. However, Minmay was just turning 16 in SDFM. How many ppl here knew of girls at that age who was whiny? Better yet, how many of you all when you were 16 a whiny jerk? Minmay was acting her age. So Hikaru was robbing the craddle? I also thnk there should have been more air time on M&M as well. For the small stuff, I think they should have made it a standard uniform like the US armed forces. I assume other armed forces are like that. Only the rank on uniform helps distingush it. As for Kaifun, I think it would be nice to see him as a drunkard bum. See how the mighty have fallen type of deal. Having him killed in irony seems to me as being too dramatic. I think it would nice to see how he preached his pacificism to alcoholism. Just my $0.02

Man, that is hard. I really couldnt live with all of mine. Right now it would be a toss up between the VF-1A LV or VF-1J Super Max or the YF-19.
