I'm digging the VF-19. Everything about it is pretty impressive. The figure is solid and even the box is is an upgrade to the older paper-thin HMR packaging.
  2. Thanks for filling me in. That's good to know. It's still strange that Bandai hasn't capitalized on it.
  3. It's weird, but how come Bandai has never released a DYRL VF-1S Max toy? I don't think I've seen Yamato or Arcadia release one either and yet it's involved in one of the most iconic scenes from DYRL.
  4. From the third picture, you can barely see a panel where missiles are supposed to pop out from its lets. I wonder if the shoulders will open up to reveal the speakers.
  5. So I took a break from collecting and am clueless to KitzConcept. I see a lot of talk about this Kickstarter project and preorders. Can someone fill me in on what the drama is all about?

I kind of cheated and got the VF-19, a DYRL VF-1A Super, and a SDFM VF-1A Max. It was my delusional way of "saving" money.

You're right about that. I ended up getting the VF-19 since it's so cheap right now. Yeah, I plan on using the inevitable Amazon gift cards coming this Christmas for those HMR Zero mechs.

Honestly, I just started watching Macross 7. While I appreciated Macross II, I usually just collect the mecha from SDFM and DYRL. I just wanted to add something different.

So what's the general consensus on the Macross II VF-2 SS? I'm trying to decide whether to get the Fire VF-19 with Sound Booster or the VF-2 SS next.
  10. Nevermind.
  11. Dang, thats really good. Congrats on the nice find.
  12. I just started watching, "Good Bye, Dragon Life." Man, the show gives a weird hentai inuendo.
  13. How much were you able to get it for?
  14. Thanks. I wasn't sure how the 1/48 Chogokins were gonna look in those with the stands in Battloid mode. It looks like you barely can fit the GBP Armored one in there. I'm guessing the Super or Strike won't fit, at least in the default shelf configuration?
  15. I wonder why Bandai has never done a weathered version? Their competitors have already released one so why can't they?
  16. It looks cool, but I bet it wont stand up on its own very well. They even tell you in the product page:
  17. I'm all for weathering, but I'm not a fan of that large burn mark on on of the wings.

    I love the Hi-Metal R MK-II Monster. It's scary that it's actually a smaller scale than the DX-Chogokin VF-1 Valkyries.
  19. I ended up binge watching the rest of the series and I liked it up until the final part of the last episode. I think the ending could have been a lot better and I’m still debating whether I like what happens to the Gundam and it’s pilot.
  20. I just started watching Requiem for Vengeance. I'm only two episodes in but I'm liking the series so far. The animation doesn't really bother me since the story has been pretty good so far. I do like the concept of Gundam being the evil monster though. It's funny because I've been playing Mechwarrior 5: Clans lately, and in that game you play as the bad guys too.
  21. I saw this review of some other ChowBrick non-Lego set and it looked pretty good. None of the bricks looked warped or damaged. I don't know if this will be the same quality. Is Chow-Brick the name of the brand or just the name of the store that sells these non-Lego sets? Is Jie Star the brand name?
  22. Does someone have a picture the Battle Pod next to a DX Chogokin VF-1A?
  23. It looks like Shockwave.
