I'm seeing a lot of posts on several sites from new fans just discovering Macross. I know most of the people on here probably already have these toys but it's always nice to encourage new fans into collecting these toys.

Are we going back downloading fansubs again?

Is that for the web exclusives or include the general retail stuff?

I've only really shopped there for pre-orders, but so far I've seen Nin-Nin have one of the lowest prices on recent Macross pre-orders like the Arcadia SDF-1, HMR VF-19 & VF-2SS, and the DX VF-19. But man, it sounds like you've had problems with them before and have issues dealing with them again. I can relate to that.

I just saw it.... it was pretty good. Gave me a Guardians of the Galaxy vibe even though it tries to deal with a serious issue.

Store limited is better value since it comes with missiles.

I ended up preordering from Nin Nin but I found it odd that the option to ship through FedEx/DHL was cheaper than the EMS option, yet was still estimated to be the fastest delivery time.

The Basara figure kind of reminds me of the judge from Who Framed Roger Rabbit crossed with Beaker from the Muppets.

Toy looks great but I'm concerned about the need for braces.

I wonder if the sound booster will fit this. It'd be awesome if someone customized the sound booster into cannons or missile pods.

Has Bandai released a Macross toy unexpectedly like this? Literally coming out in a week.

This is just a display from a recent Tamashii Nations pop up temporary shop, They just sell what they already have in stock, not like a permanent store location. This VF-1J is the in-store exclusive one that came out last year.

@BroTaku79 is there any way to pose a Yamato/Arcadia 1/60 VF-1 on the Archi Pro stands in battroid mode with the wings fully closed? I know it’s not the Archi Pro adapter itself but the included adapter preventing it from closing.

I finally got my VF-1S Roy yesterday and played around with it. I didn't notice any issues with the pegs in the interior elbow. My copy was holding the arms up just fine. I was a little hesitant to peg it in at first after reading your post but was surprised how well it held up. The wings on this toy lined up perfectly flush too in Battroid mode unlike my VF-1J. Overall, I'm really happy with it. Edit: So far my only complaint are with how tight the side fillers are. My VF-1J fillers weren't tight and easily pop on and off but the ones on the VF-1S are really snug and I feel like I'm going to break and snap them off.
