For me it happened on the clear plastic piece painted red on the leg (the other leg has that piece painted blue) on the Roy VF-1S 1/60 v2 (first release). The one spoke of the stand was making partial contact with the red piece, the other two the bare white underside. Only the red striped off. One guy posted that it removed the grey off a 1/48 low viz 1. Even posted the pictures. I'm not sure if the Low Viz was completely painted in grey rather than molded in that color. I never had an issue with a Bandai valk so far. I have a VF-25G v1 sitting on one for over 2 years. Still these stands are too scary to chance on expensive valks IMO.

It's a slow process. I think it takes a year for the paint to come. Or least that's how long before i noticed. It may be sooner. I wonder if you avoid the paint stripping by constantly switching the valks on the stand?

It occurred to me that i have a SOC Yamato 2199 dx on preorder with amiami. I thought to myself i could save a few bucks by reordering at HLJ and then cancelling the amiami preorder. Strangely the black friday hlj price is still more expensive than amiami's regular price (23400 yen vs 20970 yen).

At the end of the day i don't really care about the box art but I'm amused at how bad they are (or have been). I'm pretty sure i can whip up something better in Photoshop and I'm not even that great with Photoshop. It must cost a lot to have in show art on the box. Box art i thought was really good was for the Bandai Hi-Metal stuff.

It worked like a charm. I did pop them off twice but i think that was do to my monster hands. I think i got the hang of it now. The shoulder guars are in position and the transformation was waaaaay easier this time. Thanks for doing the video Jenuis. Sometimes you need to see the transformation in reverse in order to see how a part locks into fighter mode. Unfortunately i noticed i chipped a small part of the black paint on the piece next to the nose cone ( just before the canopy where the nose cone folds). I didnt notice that when i transformed it last. Anyone got a suggestion for a paint or gundam marker that i can match the black with?

Yeah i noticed the same thing on my yf-29 30th anniversary. Only transformed it to battroid and it sat on my desk since. I picked it up the other day and the leg are so loose they swing around on their own. I can barely make it stand on its own. A simple tap will make it fall over.

Yeah the missing kites (as well as the chest triangle) on the vf-17 annoyed me as well.

LOL! I remember when I first watched this, i was amazed by the amount of glass being broken in the mall scene I pointed out this out to my brother who said "oh yeah, i didn't notice". Go figure.

Aren't these made to order? When is the cut off for orders? I'm surprised they're still available for order.

Yeah I know its a real life designation but it wasn't used in either robotech or macros originally. Macross adopted it in plus while robotech has never used it to my knowledge. It just looks like robotech once again trying to grab macros themes and ideas rather than move off on their own path. Sad really.

I always call bullshit when people say this. I'm sure he checked out Macross 2 out of curiosity. Maybe he didn't watch all of it but i'm sure he checked it out probably to confirm that it wasn't as good as his Macross stuff and maybe laugh at the design work. If you look at the line art Gerwalk mode looks way better. The Yf-19 still has the worst gerwalk mode as far as i am concerned.

I like it too but it really takes me out of a movie when i hear reused music. When i first saw that scene in kick ass it kinda ruined that scene because i started thinking how odd that they're reusing music from a movie that came out a year or two ago. Mind you it's worse when movies recycle special effect scenes like that b movie (space something or other..i forget) that uses all the Galactica SFX shots from the original BSG. -
I was the one who asked MRK about the Vf-11C. I was actually asking about a reissue not a redo. I'm not sure which MrK though i was asking about. I should have worded that better. I'm with Graham with wanting the VF-2SS as the next release. In my mind it makes more sense even if Macross 2 isn't that well liked. A hero valk of a so-so show would sell better than an obscure valk that hasn't been seen in any animation in my opinion. I also see a vf-5000 or Vf-14 before a vf-9 or vf-3000 since the former had minor appearances in animation compare to the latter have no appearances.
