Yeah that is the thing that bugs me the most about Zero. The "villians" don't get taken out by our heroes. Ivanov especially should've been taken out by Roy.

Yeah 22000 JPY + 9800 JPY = 31800 JPY is a given. I wouldn't expect the Kai to go any less. The question is will Arcadia mark it up like it did for the VF-1? My money is on yes especially with the mention of extras. This is the first non-vf-1 reissue by arcadia and will set the precedent for the year(s?) to come. Interesting decision to pack in the soundbooster. Yamato probably would've been smart to do that for their release, Arcadia not so much. Probably the only way to sell the sound booster would be through a web exclusive offer. I think collecting Valks is going to get really expensive really quick (more so than it already is). It's funny how some people think vf-0d is going to be under $200. There is no way that is going to happen especially considering how much the vf-1 is now.

The VF-19Kai will inherit the "venting" when it gets released for $400+. Just My opinion.

That's disappointing. I have a hard time believing Arcadia didn't notice this in testing (if they do testing). After the VF-4 and VF-19, i was expecting as good quality as those two valks especially for the price.

I still haven't got mine. Has anyone been able to transform this thing without scratching the black paint on the cockpit sides? Or is this guaranteed to happen if you don't put tape there?

Can't speak for anyone else but price was completely the reason why i didn't get one. Since the destroids didn't transform i was expecting the price to be signifigantly cheaper than a VF-1 ver 2. i couldn't justify getting one for the same price as a vf-1. Still wish i had one. Maybe i'll find one cheap somewhere someday.

Does Arcadia want to stay in business? They're releases are bizzare in the least. They opened with a undisireable paint scheme VF-1 mass release at double the msrp. Then re-released 2 VF-1s that were already previously re-release the year prior. The released the YF-19 but acording to counts (mine isn't here yet) is not as good quality as the yamato VF-19 (hugely dissapointing). And now the VF-19 Kai with soundbooster. Don't get me wrong, i love the Kai. So much that i have 2 of them. But they're are still easy to come by. Some shops still have it for sale. The key here will be price. I can't see them going together for less than $400. I don't think they're going to sell too many at that price.

Yeah the non locking chest on the v1 is a huge fail of yamato's part. Yeah after i got screwed with one missing chest cannon on my VF-171 alto i always open the box and look over the valk even for my duplicates.

All i'm really saying is that Kawamori has a unique background that allows him to design valk a specific way. I can't think of any mech designer that has that background. If someone else were to take the reign it's doubtful they will be able to maintain that certain aesthetic. (eg how the metal siren is more super-robot looking). Does this make sense?

What a gong show. I pre logged in to save time. When it came up i added it to my cart. Said i wasn't logged in so i had to log in. Took the page forever to load. Then when it comes up my cart is empty. Go back to the product page and wait forever for it to load. Add it to cart again. Wait forever again to load. This time shows up and completed the order. Its a good thing no one wanted this or i for sure wouldn't have got this with all the weirdness happening. Still up. Makes me want to order another one even though i don't need it. Didn't really need the one i got already since i have a couple already. My addiction made me want to get it on the preorder window for some reason. Must control the urge to get another.

This stand is so cool. Hopefully you can get these made. i'd buy a few.

I would buy this in a heartbeat. Why can't Arcadia or somebody release a stand like this?

The problem is whenever Kawamori moves on (retirement, passes away etc) there will be no one to fill his shoes on designing vfs. Like Mr. March said, no one has come close to showing the talent in designing variable fighters designed from a aeronautical perspective. The one series that didn't use his designs was Macross 2. Although i myself don't mind the VF-2SS, it doesn't hold up to the "realistic" fighter designs that Kawamori does so well.

LOLing at the people thinking Kawamori is not involved. You just need to read a few posts above you to know it's not true. For the new series i think i'd perfer something between the SDFM era and the Plus/7 era. I think going to far into the future will stretch the credibility of the valkyrie. In Frontier the valkyrie is already getting to be way too advanced (especially the VF-27). It's hard to imagine how much more advance they can make the valkyrie without the viewer losing touch with it. Just my opinion though. Maybe they'll follow robotech and use Alphas/legioss? (Just kidding before anyone start raging).

The problem with paypal is that always seems to do something other what i want it to do. For example it's states if you have a paypal balence it will draw from that first then your default funding option. So i buy something, it leaves my paypal balance and charges my credit card even though my bank account if the default funding option. It knocks my credit card over the limit which i then get charged overlimit fees. The whole reason i made my bank account the default funding source was to avoid this exact thing happening. And it never seems consistent. With a recent transaction to a MW forum member, it wouldn't allow me to pay with bank account unless it was an echeck for some reason. Of course the echeck takes like 2 weeks to go through. Normally it's not an issue to pay through my bank account.
