  1. Thanks Falcon, hopefully you ordered one of those helmets too, for the pre-order price they're worth it. Post some pics of your DYRL as it progresses!
  2. Saw this opening scene in 92 at a comic shop in Reseda when I was still in HS, blew my mind!!
  3. Between working to much and other hassles I've finally had a chance to work on my Zero Uniform again, getting my new Flight Helmet was a huge plus! Just waiting for my Shoulder Patches to arrive and its pretty much ready to go, as well as repainting the Helmet to look like Shin's! I tried to keep as close to the OVA style as possible but also giving it that real world look as well. I might redo the Black & Yellow shoulder boards as they look more like the DYRL style vs. Zero, what do you guys think?
  4. Beastie Boys just because its awesome. This one because I was just watching Silence of the Lambs.
  5. One more classic Mac Frontier tune!!
  6. I did receive a email that it would be shipped a few days later after I made my final payment, but no tracking number. As for sizing I meant to type 61cm in my original post, but even if you wear a 60cm theres a top notch chinstrap on this helmet and that will nice & snug. The person I've kept in touch with said the Large & XL helmets share the same body frame & main Helmet, just the padding is slightly different. The way they showed the colored helmets it was a turn off for me, plus I'll be doing a custom paint scheme for mine so the unpainted version was the way to go!
  7. Hey guys, I wasn't all that impressed with the colored versions so I asked if they had any unpainted models left and of course they did. This was only shipped out last Monday, so pretty damn fast shipping. I got the XL size and fits me perfectly. (if you wear a 7-1/2 or 60cm helmet liner you're in good shape. As for comparisons, I don't have the Yamato version... unfortunately. The clear Visor is a snap-on type, the main body feels very sturdy and the actual interior is a Motorcycle helmet (like a tank). My only concern is the Black Visor housing, not sure how truly sturdy it really is, a small piece chipped off during shipping (Which I already glued back on). Then again it would have helped if Bubble wrap was used. Anyone who hasn't had there's shipped out yet, please insist that Masei use bubble wrap instead of a clothe cover & a flimsy box. Not trying to undersell this Helmet, overall its really cool and once I repaint it & weather it I'll be happy as hell. But as far as packing goes, please make sure you request better padding!
  8. On the way home from the store I saw the Mailman drive by and wondered "Hmmm, anything interesting in the mail today?" Yes indeed there was!!
  9. Those VF-0S pics are fantastic! I certainly hope at some point Arcadia makes a new round of the VF-0 series!
  10. Hey Arco, I think its still in the Garage somewhere, if I find it I'll post some pics of it. As I remember the 1A head transformed with no issues.
  11. David gets it! Blink 182!!
  12. I did the same thing years ago with my Jetfire (Low Vis Scheme), overall I thought it looked good, but I feel the SD 1A head is just slightly larger than the 1/55 should be!
  13. Keeps getting better & better!
  14. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLG6CzLi9kc Had this on at the Kitchen today!
  15. Hey Arcadia, are you seeing this? This is what the TV SDF-1 should look like, its that awesome!!
  16. Shoot I was going to buy it, especially at that price!
  17. While watching the Simpsons marathon, Bart & Milhouse were at the Spinal Tap concert and I thought... this song is cool, enjoy!
  18. I voted for the VF-2SS + SAP & 1/3000 TV SDF-1. Despite breaking the bank/my credit card I'd get three VF-2SS's in a heartbeat!
  19. Can't wait to get some of the 1/72 Gerwalks!
  20. My new VF-1A Hikaru & matching Fast Packs! When it comes to the VF-1 series I am still a big fan of the 1/48's, Thanks to MW members wickedpr1nce & macette for the awesome deals!!
