  1. Those old Imai basically don't have any knees, just molded in one piece. IMO Yamato did a much better job on the movable knee caps. Hopefully they will change the stripes on the chest and wings. Those stripes on the chest should be paralleled with the contour of the neck area, their rendering in commercial is correct though.
  2. Yes, all the kits version are molded in TV color. source
  3. Are you still not waking up from the dream we all had?
  4. Yes, that's the Hasegawa's decals. We still don't know whether the Arcadia version is in a finished, painted, assembled toy with option decal sheet OR it could be a kit with Hasegawa water slide decals. We sure hope so.
  5. So for the price, we are getting these 2 things in one package? Hell no.
  6. This is a long overdue scheme, but for some reasons I have a feeling that these new Arcadia schemes are going to be a kit with decal sheets. Anyway, Arcadia has my money when the rest of the Hasegawa's schemes follow suit. With that said, I'm afraid that Arcadia is working with Hasegawa by bundling their decal sheets in Arcadia kit.
  7. Good catch. It's unbelievable at the same time to have such lazy mounting method considering other gimmicks that they have put in.
  8. The kit is moulded in white with red chest piece, I assume. They will go for the Roy version with a new box art and decal sheet. The mechanism is definitely the first of its kind. From Hobby Japan July vf-1-72n3.jpg
  9. Here is what he posted on FB back in Apr 27. I assume he doesn't has any pre-production sample yet since he mentioned that the actual helmet will be 50% smaller. The air vent will be on the top to prevent fogging. The Yamato's is definitely huge in his hands.
  10. Option parts is not something new or essential, but what a bummer if Arcadia releases a white assembled toy with multiple sheets of decals or the worst part is this might be released as a kit.
  11. Printing various decals in a separate sheet (Hasegawa) and tempo printing on each individual part with various colors molded plastic for an assembled toy (Yamato) are 2 different businesses.
  12. Unless Arcadia is doing what Hasegawa is doing by providing decals, I think this could be the V2 that bears the most tempo printings and paints after the AB. The extra tempo, paints and labors justify the price.
  13. I think the pivot point at the intake is taking quite some room, so they have to move it down further from the ball joint at the hip.
  14. I love it too, but too bad they have to stop it because of high reject rate. The canopy is super-glued, so very unlikely to remove it without damages.
  15. The panel lines look weird, and the entire thing looks "paper-crafted" kit.
  16. Usually most modellers will apply gun metal or silver paint on the chipped parts.
  17. Arcadia is not showing anything in 24th Shizuoka Hobby Show. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=39204#entry1045525
  18. I thought we could at least see the Arcadia's 1/60 VF-1 in 30th anniversary paint scheme.
  19. Looks great and I like the green too, but I think you are missing dark gray paint on the kee cap (E05) and the laps (E03 and E04).
